Obama's Acceptance Speech: Long On Platitudes, Short On Substance

I didn't get to hear all of Obama's acceptance speech last night as he stood in front of his "Temple of Obama." I heard most of it on radio and saw about 10 minutes of it on television.

My reaction is this: Obama delivered his speech well as he had his trusty teleprompters to support him. But on substance, it was clearly lacking. He did all the obligatory attacks against McCain and Bush, but there was very little else.

In short, he bombed. He needed to do more.
