Suspect In Le Murder Arrested

Raymond Clark III, a lab technician who worked with murdered graduate student Annie Le, was arrested and charged with her murder early today.

Clark was arrested earlier this morning at a Super 8 hotel in Cromwell, about 2 miles north of the campus, where he got a room shortly after being released from police questioning in Le's death.

Le was found dead on Sunday, her body hidden in the basement wall of a building where she worked as a medical researcher, on the day she was to marry Columbia University graduate student Jonathan Widawsky. The Connecticut medical examiner said yesterday that Le died of "traumatic asphyxiation."

It has been reported that Clark has an attorney and he has refused to be interviewed.

It has also been reported that Clark send Le emails criticizing her for "not following protocols in handling the lab's mice and that he requested that she meet with him the day she was last seen alive.

UPDATE (9/18/09):

FoxNews is reporting:

The Yale University lab technician accused of killing graduate student and fellow lab employee Annie Le may have had help in hiding her body from investigators, according to reports, and another arrest could be imminent.

Cops are reportedly questioning another employee who works in the lab where Le's body was found stuffed in a utility compartment, FOX 61 reported Thursday night. That employee was not identified, but Clark's fiancée, sister and brother-in-law also work at the lab.
