People have asked me if I enjoy traveling to Japan solo or not. It really doesn't make that much difference to me as I know people in Japan with whom I meet up with for lunch or dinner and other kinds of activities. So I don't feel that I am alone there. I find that going on my own allows me the freedom to do whatever I want and whenever I want.
The Huffington Post Travel blog has an article on the world's best destinations for solo travel. One of them is in Japan, but you'll have to read the article to see where in Japan.
