"SPECTRE"

Like a long-lost friend, the international terrorist organization that hasn't been around since the 1960s is returning in the next James Bond movie.

Japan Today reported:
LONDON —James Bond is back, in a new film with a retro title that evokes the series’ past. The next 007 adventure will be called “SPECTRE,” the dastardly fictional terrorist organization featured in “Dr. No” and other early Bond films.
Director Sam Mendes announced the name of the 24th official Bond movie Thursday at Pinewood Studios near London, along with the identity of several new cast members and a new version of Bond’s iconic Aston Martin car.

Daniel Craig returns for his fourth outing as James Bond.

According to the article, the evil Ernst Stavro Blofeld and his white angora cat hasn't been seen in a Bond movie for decades due to a legal dispute that was finally settled last year.

Also returning are Ralph Fiennes as MI6 chief M, Ben Whishaw as Q ("Q" stands for Quartermaster) and Naomi Harris as Miss Moneypenny.

Principal cinematography begins on Monday.
