Snow Tapering Off

Above, the road is covered in snow and ice this morning. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

From the National Weather Service:

Widespread snow, with periods of heavy snowfall rates up to 1-2”/hour at times, and gusty winds will continue across New Mexico and eastern Colorado through tonight. Snow may linger in some areas through Saturday morning.

The above was from their opening page.

I just took a look outside and we are still getting some light snow. It is supposed to taper off here. The brunt of storm today is in the north and northeast areas of New Mexico. I am in the northwest.

According to the National Weather Service for Jamestown:

Today
Isolated snow showers before 8am. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 37. Calm wind becoming northwest around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Tonight
Mostly clear, with a low around 20. Southwest wind around 5 mph.
Saturday
Sunny, with a high near 46. West wind 5 to 10 mph.
