Roy Rogers's Rifle In "Mackintosh and T.J."

Above, Roy Rogers in his pick-up truck in Mackintosh and T.J. with the rifle behind him.

On Monday, I home from the clampout in Quartzsite, Arizona in the morning. Much of the day was spent cleaning out the motorhome, doing laundry and other chores.

For dinner, I had a can of Wolf brand chili and watched Roy Rogers's last movie, Mackintosh and T.J. (1975). It had been a while since I last watched the movie and noticed Roy having a lever-action rifle in his truck hung on an "Easy Rider gun rack" (that's what people called them back then). Nobody does this anymore due to thefts.

A closer look at the rifle tells me that it is a Winchester 94. Roy made use of it in the movie hunting coyotes on a Texas ranch.
