The most famous band from my hometown of Hawthorne, California played to a big crowd in Chiba, Japan.
Japan Today reported:
CHIBA —The Beach Boys, one of the world’s most legendary bands, kicked off their three-concert tour of Japan with a trip down memory lane for 12,000 fans at QVC Marine Field in Chiba Prefecture on Thursday night.
Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, Bruce Johnston and David Marks (supported by a backing band composed of members from the group’s various touring entities) performed 33 songs, including old favorites such as “Surfin’ USA” and “California Girls.”They will be playing in Osaka Friday night and Nagoya on Sunday.
