While driving from the Lincoln Home National Historic Site to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield, Illinois, I managed to take this shot of the Illinois State Capitol from the windshield of The Beast.
There are actually two state capitol buildings in Springfield. The present one shown above and the one that was used during Lincoln's day. The old capitol had been restored and is now a tourist attraction.
There is a website that tells all about the Illinois State Capitol. To access it, go here.
