Resolution To Fine "Pencilneck" $16 Million Proposed

A resolution to fine California Rep. Adam "Pencilneck" Schiff has been introduced in congress.

The Federalist Papers reported:

Standing up to the reprehensible and basically treasonous lies perpetuated by leading Democrats in Congress, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., has introduced a resolution that seeks to impose a $16 million fine on Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., for his unsubstantiated claims of collusion between former President Trump and Russia during the 2016 election.

Luna argues that this amount represents approximately half of the total cost incurred by American taxpayers for the federal investigation into the debunked Trump-Russia collusion narrative, as confirmed by special counsel reports from Robert Mueller and John Durham.

Luna, along with the GOP Conference, asserts that Adam Schiff has flagrantly breached the trust of the American people, abused his positions of authority, and engaged in a consistent pattern of falsehoods.

The resolution states, “By repeatedly telling these falsehoods, Representative Schiff purposely deceived his Committee, Congress, and the American people.”

It further points out that Schiff lent credibility to the controversial Steele dossier, supported a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrant against Trump aide Carter Page, and publicly labeled Page as a Russian collaborator.

The $16 million fine represents 50% of what the taxpayers had to pay for Schiff's "investigations".

Instagram Slapped With Fine of 405 Million Euros

Instagram, owned by Meta Platforms, Inc., has been slapped with a whopping 405 million euros fine ($403 million) by the Irish Data Protection Commission. 

Meta Platforms owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, among other products and services.

According to Epoch Times:

Meta-owned Instagram has been fined 405 million euros ($403 million) by the Irish Data Protection Commission after it was found that the platform violated European privacy law General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

In 2020, the Irish Data Protection Commission kicked off an investigation into Instagram because the platform made accounts of children between the ages of 13 and 17 public by default. Instagram allowed children to set up business accounts on the platform, making their phone numbers and email addresses public.

A spokesperson for the commission confirmed to Reuters that its final decision imposed a fine of 405 million euros on the Meta-owned platform. More details on the matter will only be published next week.

This is the second-highest fine imposed under the GDPR rules after Amazon was fined a record 746 million euros ($743 million) by Luxembourg’s data protection authority in July last year.

I would guess that Mr. Zuckerberg isn't a happy camper today.

Two San Diego Area RV Parks Fined $750,000

Several years ago, we were down in San Diego to take care of a recall matter involving my 2015 Winnebago Minnie Winnie and to go to Sea World.

While there, we stayed at Campland on the Bay for a night. I wasn't too impressed with it as it seemed to be a glorified asphalt parking lot, especially considering the price per night they charged.

Well, the California Coastal Commission isn't too impressed with Campland and another RV park either.

They were both fined for signage misleading people to think the public beaches they're on are private.

SF Gate reported:

Two RV parks along the California coast have been penalized three-quarters of a million dollars after a government agency said that the public was misled to believe its adjacent beaches were private, as reported by KGTV San Diego. 

Campland on the Bay and Mission Bay RV Resort allegedly had signs surrounding the properties stating that beach access was private and for use by their guests only. 

The California Coastal Commission reached a settlement with the parks, which are both public trust state tidelands, to ensure the surrounding area knows the beaches are available for all.
