American Thinker: The Ten Steps To Totalitarianism

Here's some food for thought.

It is on the "Ten Steps To Totalitarianism" by the American Thinker

The begin with:

Does anybody still think totalitarianism can't happen here?  Ask yourself how many of these steps we've already galloped past.

They go into detail on the ten steps, but here's the list of them:

(1) Destruction of Religion

(2) Gun Confiscation

(3) Control over Energy

(4) Control over Communication

(5) Control over Money

(6) Doomsday Fear-mongering

(7) School Indoctrination

(8) Elimination of Family

(9) Elimination of Cars

(10) Digital Identity Tracking

They conclude with:

Fear + Dependency = Enslavement

When the State determines what you own, what you say, what you may believe, and where you may go, then you have become a slave to total State control.  Terrifying citizens into compliance and forcing citizens into dependence for their survival are the hallmarks of all totalitarian regimes.   Act accordingly.

New Zealand Extends Covid-Era Mandates To Cigarettes

If you thought our government officials have overstepped their bounds with mandates in the U.S., just be glad our courts have been slapping them down one-by-one and that we don't live in New Zealand.

In their zeal (pun unintended), their government has extended mandates to include cigarettes. Totalitarianism in action.

First You Lose Your Guns, Then Your Freedoms

If one is wondering why supporters of the Second Amendment fight tooth & nail against any restrictive gun control laws put forward by radical leftist Democrats, just take a good hard look at what's happening in Australia right now.

From the Western Standard:

Armed citizens are a deterrent to politicians and bureaucrats hankering to subdue and control the masses, stripping them of basic freedoms.

The day the Aussies gave up their guns triggered the beginning of the end of their liberty.

Now the land Down Under is a full-blown police state. Proud, strong, free, productive Australia is gone.

This harsh, bitter transformation should be a warning to nations still clinging to the God, guns, and freedoms the hard-core left deeply despises.

Aussies protesting totalitarian COVID-19 restrictions, the harshest in the free world, are fighting a seemingly hopeless battle for basic rights and freedoms by pelting rocks, bottles, golf balls, and batteries against heavily armed riot police.

Immunity Cards "Under Discussion"

Can you imagine that after the coronavirus "crisis" is over people would be required to carry an "immunity card" or other documents stating that you either are immune to the coronavirus or survived it in order to go anywhere within the country?

Such an idea is under discussion. Sounds like something under Nazi Germany or the Iron Curtain, as Rush Limbaugh pointed out this morning.

From Politico:
Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, revealed Friday the federal government is considering issuing Americans certificates of immunity from the coronavirus, as the Trump administration works to better identify those who have been infected and restart the U.S. economy in the coming weeks.
“You know, that’s possible,” Fauci told CNN’s “New Day,” when asked whether he could imagine a time when people across the country carry such forms of identification.
The proposal is contingent upon the widespread deployment of antibody tests which the National Institutes of Health and the Food and Drug Administration are in the process of validating in the the U.S., Fauci said.
Strangely, the left wing website, The Week, posted:
This is a proposal with obvious appeal, possibly a way to move our economic and social lives back toward normalcy without risking the efficacy of the pandemic response. But the precedent of requiring special papers to appear in public is troubling. The history of "papers, please" is not exactly a shining beacon of freedom. Rightly does the phrase, in American minds, summon visions of Nazis and Soviets.
