Ted Nugent Has A Message To Oregon About Hunting

The Second Amendment is Not Up For Debate
The Democrat Party is hell-bent on trying to strip away our Second Amendment rights state-by-state.
The Republican Party is trying to protect those rights.
Congressman Jason Smith has an opinion piece posted in the Wayne County Journal Banner on this subject.
He begins it with:
The Second Amendment is not a suggestion. It is a constitutional right enshrined into law by our Founding Fathers, but Democrats across the nation have made it their mission to strip that right away.
Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger just signed legislation making it illegal to sell, purchase, or manufacture certain types of firearms in her state — without question infringing on citizens’ constitutional rights. If Democrats had their way, Missouri and the rest of the country would follow suit. This is not just a Virginia problem. This is the Democrat agenda: strip law-abiding Americans of their right to defend themselves, one state at a time.

DOJ Sues Denver Over Unconstitutional Weapons Bans
Colorado was once a red state (i.e., Republican), but Democrat liberals have moved into this state and now are inflicting their ideology on the people there.
The Second Amendment rights of Colorado's citizens are under attack. Now, the Denver city council is trying to ban so-called assault weapons and now are being sued by the Trump Department of Justice.
From Justice.gov:
Today, the Justice Department filed suit against the City of Denver, Colorado alleging that the City unconstitutionally bans certain constitutionally protected semi-automatic rifles. These laws unconstitutionally infringe on the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens to keep and bear arms in common use for lawful purposes.
As the complaint explains, the City enforces an ordinance that makes it a crime to possess so-called “assault weapons.” But that the City’s ban includes AR-15-style rifles, which are the most popular rifles in America. Law-abiding Americans own tens of millions of rifles like those banned by the City.
“The Constitution is not a suggestion and the Second Amendment is not a second-class right,” said Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche. “Denver's ban on commonly owned semi-automatic rifles directly violates the right to bear arms. This Department of Justice will vigorously defend the liberties of law-abiding citizens nationwide.”

WHCA Shooting
The White House Correspondents Association shooting incident was weird in a lot of respects.
Above, this is what greeted me when I turned on the television to watch the White House Correspondents Association dinner. Photo by Armand Vaquer.
Last night, around 7:10 or so, I remembered that it would be taking place. I wanted to watch it, so I headed into the living room and put on the television. I put on Live Now From Fox as they always cover such events. Immediately, the bottom of the screen indicated that there was a "security situation" at the dinner, held at the Washington Hilton. WTF?! I was totally unaware that anything happened.
Moments later, the station replayed the incident what included the ushering of President Trump from the ballroom. It reminded me a lot of the banquet scenes of the Clint Eastwood movie, In The Line of Fire (1993) in which Eastwood played a senior Secret Service agent. (Great movie, by the way!)
At first, it was unknown what exactly happened. Then, it was said that there may have been a shooting. Then it was said that there was a shooting at the security checkpoint in the hotel lobby. It was also said the shooter was killed. Then it was reported that he was apprehended.
All kinds of rumors swirled around. Over the next two hours. I was glued to the television coverage.
I kept watching until after President Trump's press briefing at the White House and the briefing by Washington, D.C. law enforcement.
This morning, it was reported that the shooter is a teacher from Torrance, California. Sadly, I was not surprised that this wacko was from California and a teacher, considering the left-wing politics in that state (that I left eight years ago). It was also reported that the shooter is a Democrat. Sadly, I was not surprised again.
Interestingly, none of the broadcasts I saw mentioned that the Washington Hilton was the scene of the attempted assassination of President Reagan in 1981. I saw the site of that shooting in 1982 when I was in Washington to attend a White House reception for the 1980 California Delegation to the Republican National Convention.
When will this madness from the Left end?

Newsom Imports Expensive Gasoline From Bahamas
The Looney Left Report
It is becoming more and more evident that the California state government is run by lunatics.
The latest is from the American Energy Alliance:
This story is baffling. Bloomberg reports that California is starting to import gasoline from the Bahamas, while the state sits on enormous oil resources it refuses to develop. Bloomberg reports:
“US supplies of gasoline are being shipped out of the country to travel thousands of miles via the Bahamas before finally ending up in California, a state battling shrinking fuelmaking capacity and high pump prices. Shipments on the circuitous route are increasing. California imported more gasoline in November than ever before, with more than 40% coming from the Bahamas… After Phillips 66 shuttered its Los Angeles refinery in October, gasoline imports climbed in 2025 to the highest level since at least 2016. With Valero Energy Corp. set to close a Northern California refinery this spring, and no fuel pipelines connecting the US Gulf’s oil-producing powerhouse to the West Coast, the nation’s most populous state will likely depend on imports to bridge the gap.”
Only in Governor Newsom’s California does this make sense. The same governor who tried to ban the sale of new gasoline-powered cars by 2035 and has made it nearly impossible to develop new oil fields is now presiding over a state that needs gasoline shipped from the Bahamas because California can’t refine enough of its own fuel.

New Mexico Democrats’ Gun Grab Collapses
Above, the New Mexico State Capitol "The Roundhouse". Photo by Armand Vaquer.
Thanks to a boatload of amendments to Senate Bill 17 in the New Mexico legislature, the bill died a well-deserved death just before the legislative session ends.
According to Pinon Post:
In the final stretch of New Mexico’s legislative session, two sweeping gun control measures championed by progressive Democrats have effectively collapsed — a major victory for New Mexicans’ Second Amendment rights.
Senate Bill 17, the so-called “Stop Illegal Gun Trade and Extremely Dangerous Weapons Act,” was rolled indefinitely in the House Judiciary Committee, halting what critics described as one of the most aggressive gun control packages ever introduced in New Mexico. Meanwhile, Senate Bill 261, which sought to dramatically expand so-called “gun-free zones” around polling places and ballot drop boxes, failed to advance out of the House Government, Elections and Indian Affairs Committee after Ranking Member Rep. John Block forcefully exposed what he called “massive holes” in the legislation.
According to reporting from the Santa Fe New Mexican, the bill’s sponsors admitted the bill’s effective death, with state Sen. Debbie O’Malley telling the outlet, “There’s not enough time to hear it again.”
With time running out in the session, Democrats were unable to muster the momentum needed to ram the bills through — despite heavy pressure from national gun control groups. Pro-gun groups, lawmakers like Rep. Stefani Lord (R-Sandia Park), concerned citizens, and others were instrumental in the death of the radical bill — described the most far-reaching anti-gun measure in the entire country.
It is said that radical leftist Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham will call for a special session to try to revive the bill.

NSSF: Canadian-Style Gun Grab Is Happening Here
Do you think that Canadian-style gun grabbing can't happen in the United States where we have the Second Amendment?
Think again, it is happening and pro-Second Amendment groups are fighting radical politicians to preserve our Second Amendment rights.
The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) posted the following:
There’s a self-soothing notion that the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution keeps the excesses of an overreaching government away from the gun safes of law-abiding gun owners. That notion is just that. It’s veneer-thin, just a wisp away from the shifting political winds that are already blowing across several states that could usher in Canadian-style gun confiscation to the United States.
The fact is that the Second Amendment requires constant vigilance against politicians who would disarm Americans “for their own safety.” That’s why NSSF is battling proposed bans — and even illegal dispossession — of lawfully-owned firearms and magazines in states like Virginia and New Mexico. Legislators there would join California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington and the District of Columbia in banning Modern Sporting Rifles (MSRs), the most popular selling centerfire rifle in America. There are over 32 million MSRs in circulation today.
The popularity of these commonly owned and typically possessed firearms and standard capacity magazines doesn’t matter much to politicians bent on banning them. The popularity of these rifles and magazines does matter to the Second Amendment, however.
Those like Virginia’s Democratic Delegate Dan Helmer claim that AR-15-style rifles are “weapons of war — similar to the ones I carried in in Afghanistan.”
But they are not. They’re simply semiautomatic rifles that operate in the same manner as a duck-hunting shotgun. The rifle Delegate Helmer carried in Afghanistan was a machinegun capable of firing automatically, a feature that’s been heavily regulated since 1937 and prohibited for sale in new firearms since 1986.
Delegate Helmer claims the bill he’s sponsoring in Virginia is about preventing violence, saving lives and putting public safety first. Meanwhile, New Mexico’s Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham said the proposed MSR ban in her state, “will save lives and make our state a better place to raise a family.”
But this is a false narrative. Banning MSRs and magazines is in the name of “preventing violence, saving lives and putting public safety first” will only disarm law-abiding citizens, it will nothing to disarm criminals who are the real problem and who will ignore these laws.
Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham and other leftist politicians are full of shit as usual. The current fight in New Mexico is over SB 17, a gun grab bill if there ever was one.

New Mexico: Sweeping Gun Control Bill Passes Senate
The Second Amendment in New Mexico will be severely undermined if the SB 17 is passed and signed into law.
The NRA-ILA posted:
Last night, the New Mexico Senate passed an omnibus gun control package by a vote of 21 to 17 that would severely undermine the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding New Mexicans and threaten the viability of local firearm retailers. SB 17 now moves to the House for further consideration. Please use the Take Action link below to contact your Representative and express your strong opposition to SB 17.
Senate Bill 17, Senate Bill 17, introduced by Senators Micaelita Debbie O’Malley, Andrea Romero, and Heather Berghmans, would unconstitutionally strip law-abiding New Mexicans of their Second Amendment rights by banning common gas-operated semiautomatic firearms, .50-caliber rifles, and magazines holding more than ten rounds under the guise of labeling them “extremely dangerous weapons.”

NM: Senate Committee Passes Sweeping Gun Control Bill
The wacko leftist Democrats in the New Mexico senate passed a bad gun control bill in the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Much of the bill, Senate Bill 17, is seen as already unconstitutional, but that doesn't stop the Democrats from passing it anyway. A lawsuit is guaranteed if it is passed and signed into law.
From the NRA-ILA:
Last night, the New Mexico Senate Judiciary Committee passed Senate Bill 17, an omnibus gun control package that would severely undermine the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding New Mexicans and threaten the viability of local firearm retailers. SB 17 could come up for a floor vote in the Senate at any time! Use the Take Action link below to contact your Senator and express your strong opposition to SB 17.
Senate Bill 17, introduced by Senators Micaelita Debbie O’Malley, Andrea Romero, and Heather Berghmans, would unconstitutionally strip law-abiding New Mexicans of their Second Amendment rights by banning common gas-operated semiautomatic firearms, .50 caliber rifles, and magazines holding more than ten rounds under the guise of labeling them as “extremely dangerous weapons.”
The bill further targets the firearms industry by imposing excessive and costly bureaucratic mandates on local firearm dealers, including invasive “site hardening” security requirements and unrealistic 24-hour response deadlines for law enforcement trace requests.

Democrats Reintroduce ‘Stop Online Ammunition Sales Act’
Above, a typical ammo online ad by Bass Prop Shops.
Those bastards never give up.
The House Democrats reintroduced a stupid bill that, if passed, would ban online ammunition sales.
The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) reported:
House Democrats have introduced H.R. 7166, a bill that would effectively end direct-to-consumer online ammunition sales nationwide by forcing so-called “face-to-face” identity verification for internet purchases.
While supporters brand it as “common sense,” it is not. Unconstitutional in design, unethical in intent and absurd in its real-world consequences, the proposal doesn’t target criminals. The “Stop Online Ammunition Sales Act” targets law-abiding Americans who buy ammunition for self-defense, training, hunting, pest control and competitive shooting.

California Screws Arizona On Gasoline
Think California's gasoline crisis is confined to just California? Sorry, but it crosses state lines to Arizona (and Nevada).
You can thank Gov. Gavin Newsom and the leftist Democrats in the state's legislature for this. It is all their doing!

The Second Amendment That Nobody Wants To Talk About
Everyday, we see news reports from different states where leftist Democrats try to infringe on our Second Amendment rights. Thankfully, most of their efforts fail or are overturned.
Nobody really discusses the reason for the Second Amendment, though. Well, The Truth About Guns spells it out without pulling any punches.
They begin with:
Earlier this month, President Trump released a statement in support of National Shooting Sports Month, recognizing the history and tradition of America’s firearms culture, from recreation and competition to self-reliance. But while the occasion is focused on shooting sports, it is difficult for me to read reverence for the “God-given right to bear arms” without any mention of why the Second Amendment really exists.
While nobody wants to see an armed conflict within the borders of our great nation, history is rife with examples of governments gone tyrannical, from the Roman Monarchy, Nazi Germany, and the former Soviet Union, to contemporary dictatorships like North Korea. One would also be remiss to ignore more subtle strategies deployed to subjugate without the population even realizing it’s happening. Take Hungary’s Viktor Orbán, for example, who uses mass manipulation through the control of information to reshape public perception. Wait, that sounds familiar…
But this isn’t a story about dictators or revolutions. It is one of sincerity and integrity. President Trump is no stranger to the abundance of corruption in DC that has permeated nationwide politics, the judicial system, and much of the government-controlled mainstream media that delivers the message at their behest. And yet, even his brash, anti-silver-tongued speech we’ve all come to know does not allow him to put the Second Amendment in context of why it exists or the shambles it is currently in.
This is one article that should be shared and shared widely.

Newsom Announces November Election To Gerrymander Lopsided California
The state of California is already a one-party state, much like China and North Korea. Now Gov. Gavin Newsom wants to make it even more so through a special election on November 4.
The Daily Caller reported:
Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom announced that a special election will be held on Nov. 4, in which Californians will vote on the “Election Rigging Response Act,” a ballot measure to implement a new partisan gerrymander of the state’s House map ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.
The governor announced the election at a press conference on Thursday, which he dubbed “Liberation Day” in an apparent attempt to mirror President Donald Trump’s April 2 tariff announcement of the same name. Newsom told reporters after the conference the new gerrymandered map will be released in the next few days, and it aims to “completely neuter and neutralize” Texas’ mid-decade redistricting efforts — from which the GOP is likely to gain five House seats.
California, unlike Texas and some other Republican states, is unable to hold special legislative sessions to redraw maps as its voters entrusted the task of redrawing the state’s House lines to its Citizens Redistricting Commission in 2010, via a ballot initiative. For this reason, California voters need to approve another ballot initiative in order to greenlight a new map mid-decade — something not required in the other aforementioned states.
Despite its current map being drawn by a commission, California still boasts an overwhelming Democratic House delegation, with Republicans representing only nine — 17% — of its 52 seats.

The Second Amendment Is A Civil Right
Believe it or not, the Second Amendment is a Civil Right.
Democrats and others from the Left have not treated it as such and have gone to great lengths to undermine it. Thankfully, we have an administration who will vigorously defend the Second Amendment.
That is the topic of an article in America's 1st Freedom. They begin it with:
Harmeet Dhillon, the recently confirmed Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights, a division within the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), has announced a new focus: The protection of the Second Amendment against any state or local government that hopes to undermine it. “Prior Republican administrations haven’t paid a lot of attention to affirmatively doing that,” said Dhillon, with the result being that “city after city, state after state are eviscerating those rights” while “mocking the Supreme Court.” Henceforth, she concluded, that mockery will have consequences.
Dhillon suggested that the decision to make the Second Amendment “a focus of the Civil Rights Division” may come as a “surprise to many people on both sides.” And, given the way that the right to keep and bear arms has often been treated in the nation’s capital, she is probably right. As a historical matter, though, the move ought not to surprise anyone, for, instead of being an aberration or an innovation, ensuring that the Second Amendment was “affirmatively” extended to everyone was one of the first things that Dhillon’s agency ever did.

Bill Maher Is Right
I've noticed this about lefties. One I know (a Godzilla movie historian) came out a few years ago and said to me in 2017: "I don't break bread with Trump supporters." We haven't spoken since.
I am sending this to him.

FIRE Act Introduced To End Magazine Capacity Restrictions
The radical left Democrats are going to scream bloody murder over this one, especially if it passes and is signed into law by President Trump.
A bill has been introduced in Congress banning federal, state, and local governments from restricting firearm magazine capacity.
According to USA Carry:
WASHINGTON, DC — In a bold move to safeguard Second Amendment rights, Congressman Tony Wied (WI-08) introduced the Freedom from Improper Regulation and Enforcement (FIRE) Act on July 17, 2025. The proposed legislation would ban federal, state, and local governments from restricting firearm magazine capacity, effectively eliminating a patchwork of regulations that limit magazine size across different jurisdictions.
The FIRE Act prohibits any federal agency from implementing magazine capacity restrictions and blocks state and local governments from enacting or enforcing such laws. The bill has already gained support from several House Republicans, including original cosponsors Reps. Tom Tiffany (WI-07), Mike Collins (GA-10), Dave Taylor (OH-02), Sheri Biggs (SC-03), and Russ Fulcher (ID-01).
“For too long, the federal government has infringed on Americans’ Second Amendment rights while maintaining a confusing, inconsistent system that lacks a uniform national standard and invites legal disparity,” Wied stated. “The FIRE Act ensures that law-abiding gun owners can access magazines of any size, no matter where they are in the United States. It’s well past time we take the Founding Fathers’ words ‘shall not be infringed’ seriously.”
The bill is a direct response to a wave of state and local laws that restrict so-called “high-capacity” magazines, often defined as those holding more than 10 rounds. These laws vary by jurisdiction and firearm type, creating legal uncertainty for gun owners traveling across state lines.
