Immigration Rights Protest Snarls Downtown Traffic

Above, traffic control has their hands full directing traffic away from closed streets near L.A. City Hall.

Immigration Rights Protest Snarls Downtown Traffic

If people protesting immigration policy think that their cause is aided or endear them to the public by tying up traffic in downtown Los Angeles and making a mess for the city's public safety workers, they have another thing coming. Several streets in the L.A. Civic Center were closed today as hundreds of protestors paraded around demanding a change in U.S. immigration policy. The above photo was taken minutes ago with my cell phone from the Hall of Justice.

It is interesting that they chose a Friday for their protest, with workers trying to get away for the weekend. It is also interesting that May 1 is picked as their protest day. May 1 (May Day) is a traditional holiday for communist regimes around the world. Any connection?

It is funny that people who snuck into this country, or came in as guests legally, feel that they have to parade around making demands. If they don't like how we do things, they know where the border is.
