To prevent forgery, Japan regularly changes its passport design.
They have done so again, and this time Mount Fuji is the subject in the new passport's stamp pages.

Japan is known for it’s natural wonders and modern design, so it’s no surprise that their passport would reflect the same aesthetic. The Foreign Ministry announced this week that they would be issuing a new series of passports that will feature landscape images of “thirty-six views of Mount Fuji” for the stamp pages.
