We grieve all for those who were killed and injured in Las Vegas, but this one hits too close to home.
From the Las Vegas Review Journal:
Hannah Ahlers, a 34-year-old mother of three from Murrietta, California, was one of the 59 victims killed after a gunman open fired on a crowded country music festival on the Las Vegas Strip.
Dave Ahlers, Hannah’s father-in-law, confirmed Monday evening that Hannah had been shot in the head at the Route 91 Harvest music festival Sunday night. Dave said she had come to Las Vegas for the festival with her husband, Brian, and three other couples.
Hannah and Brian had three children, ages 3, 11 and 14, and her father-in-law described her as a “loving, caring and devoted mother” who running the kids around from soccer practice to school events. This hit too close to home as Hannah was the wife of one of our clamper brothers, Brian Ahlers. A spouse or girlfriend of a clamper is known affectionately as a clamper "Widder" in ECV.
Sincere condolences to Brian and his extended family.
