The variety of our national parks is as varied as they can get. From pine-covered mountains to desert terrain, each park has its own distinctive look.
The same goes for the campgrounds in each park. While basic amenities are roughly the same (fire pit, grill, picnic table, bear-proof storage box), each campground also has its own distinctive look. Only Trailer Village at Grand Canyon National Park had full hook-ups (water, electric and sewer).
Since I bought The Beast three years ago (it really has been that long), I've camped in four national parks.
The first was at Joshua Tree National Park's Cottonwood Campground in the Mojave Desert of California in 2015 :
