The plan was to do the next report on Los Angeles to Tokyo airfares the first weekend in October, but the airfare prices the Los Angeles Times Travel section came up with thwarted that plan.
Last week, the airfares the Times came up with were on the low end of $888.00 and a high end of $1,474.00. These are before any fees and taxes are added in.
Yesterday's Times travel section came up with higher prices. The lowest they came up with was $1,007.00 and the high end was $1,593.00. These, again, are before any taxes and fees are added in. There's really no explanation in the paper for the higher prices.
We'll have to see what next week's prices are.
