The Japanese economy is benefiting by the boom in foreign tourism. Record spending by foreign tourists is at a 20-year high.
According to Bloomberg.com:
Record spending by foreign tourists is providing a timely boost to the world’s third-largest economy.
Spending by visitors jumped to the highest level in at least 20 years, adding about 0.1 percentage points to Japan's gross domestic product, data showed. That’s no small change for a country that’s trying to claw itself out of decades of economic stagnation.To read more, go here.
