Fireworks

Before we know it, it will be Independence Day.

At the Flying J down the hill from our community, there's a section devoted to fireworks. These aren't the "wimpy" fireworks that are supposedly safe & sane, these are the real deal, including skyrockets, etc. One can set off a small war with some of these!

The only other places I've seen these types were at an Indian travel center in Nevada and at an Indian gift shop in Continental Divide (eight miles away).

Unfortunately, due to the brush and dry conditions around New Mexico, it would not be prudent to shoot any off.
