Since school is out (or soon will be) for the summer vacation season, people are looking to travel to see places but don't want to be caught up in crowded conditions, particularly at our national parks.
However, there are 10 national parks that Condé Nast Traveler says that are underrated and are also relatively free of crowds.

One of the ten national parks is Lassen Volcanic National Park in Northern California. It was the first national park I visited (in 1968) and I returned there last year following the Great American Eclipse. I was also able to get a campsite in the park's Manzanita Lake Campground without making any prior reservations.
