Now that the Tokyo Olympic Games are now history and we're 9 days into a new month, it is time to take a look at the Tokyo foreign exchange rate between the U.S. dollar and the Japanese yen.
It looks like the American Olympians didn't get that great of an exchange rate.
According to Jiji Press:
Tokyo, Aug. 6 (Jiji Press)--The dollar rose past 109.70 yen in Tokyo trading Friday, backed by higher stock prices and U.S. interest rates.
At 5 p.m., the dollar stood at 109.71-72 yen, up from 109.56-57 yen at the same time Thursday.
