The kids are beginning to return to school in some areas and soon our national parks will be gearing up (or winding down) for the autumn season.
There are those of us who prefer the off-season for visiting national parks and a former park ranger has some recommendations (seven of them) of the best parks to visit during fall and they are posted at TravelAwaits.

Fall travel doesn’t always have to be about foliage. It can be about beating the heat, beating the crowds, or a combination of multiple factors.
