It has been a dry winter in New Mexico, but at least we're finally getting some snow lately.
I just took a look outside and it snowed overnight and we have about an inch of snow on the ground. It is better than nothing and according to the National Weather Service, we're to get more through tonight.
Right now, it is about 29° outside.
The forecast:
Overnight
A 40 percent chance of snow showers. Cloudy, with a low around 25. Southwest wind around 15 mph. Total nighttime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Friday
Snow showers, mainly after 2pm. Some thunder is also possible. High near 42. South wind 5 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
Friday Night
Snow showers likely, mainly after 2am. Cloudy, with a low around 22. Southwest wind 5 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
Saturday
Scattered snow showers, mainly before 11am. Cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 40. North wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
