Total snow accumulations up to 3 inches. Locally heavier amounts of 3 to 8 inches in the southwest mountains and the Chuska Mountains. West and southwest winds gusting as high as 55 mph. * WHERE...Western Mountains, West Central Plateau, and West Central Highlands. * WHEN...From 9 PM this evening to 6 AM MDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Plan on snow packed or icy road conditions. This includes portions of I-40. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility, and strong crosswinds will also make driving hazardous. Strong winds could cause extensive damage to trees and power lines. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strong crosswinds and periods of very poor visibility in heavy snow will make driving hazardous.
