Comey Firing: From The Daily Mail

While the liberal American media are engaging in hysterics over FBI Director James Comey's firing today by President Trump, here's something from the United Kingdom's Daily Mail:

  • Donald Trump has dramatically fired the FBI Director after he misled the Senate by claiming Huma Abedin sent classified emails to Anthony Weiner
  • He writes to James Comey: 'You are hereby terminated and removed from office immediately.'
  • Comey found out on live TV screens in Los Angeles that he was being fired but thought it was a joke until he was briefed by his staff
  • He was later seen in his motorcade on a city interstate - in a bizarre parallel to O.J. Simpson - before boarding a private plane and shaking hands with officers
  • Deputy Attorney General  Rod Rosenstein and Attorney General Jeff Sessions wrote formal memo saying they had no confidence in him
  • Trump used letter dismissing Comey to say: 'I greatly appreciate you informing me, in three separate occasions, that I am not under investigation'
  • Chuck Schumer, Democrats' most senior figure said he had told President Trump that firing Comey was a 'very big mistake'
  • Democrats piled on by comparing Trump to Richard Nixon who fired top justice officials in the Saturday Night Massacre but Clinton aide said: 'No comment.'
  • New acting FBI director is Andrew McCabe - and he too is caught in the toxic impact of Clinton as his politician wife got cash from a Hillary ally

Clinton Campaign: Anger and Disbelief

Above, caught in the headlights. No, Bill, it was Hillary's Weiner.

Yesterday's announcement by FBI Director James Comey has turned the Hillary Clinton campaign into an angry, panicked frenzy.

The Hill reported:
Hillary Clinton’s allies were cast into a state of anger and disbelief over the FBI’s stunning announcement that it is reviewing new emails “pertinent” to Clinton’s use of a private email server.
That shocking development — revealed in a letter to Congress by FBI Director James Comey — pushed some of Clinton’s allies past the boiling point.
They said they were “dumbfounded” by the revelation that the new FBI review may have been spurred by a separate investigation into Anthony Weiner sending lewd texts to a minor. Weiner is separated from wife Huma Abedin, one of Clinton’s closest aides.
And they worried that Clinton’s unconventional email arrangement had finally caught up to her and might imperil her presidential bid less than two weeks before Election Day.

A friend said that it would be "poetic justice" if Clinton's campaign were brought down by Anthony Weiner. Still, Clinton brought all this upon herself due to her dishonesty.

This could cause a constitutional crisis if she is elected president and is indicted before inauguration day. It is no more imperative that Donald Trump wins the election. Before this bombshell, Trump was trending upwards anyway.

Now It's "DickiLeaks"

Carl Bernstein of Woodward & Bernstein fame said that the FBI would not have reopened the emails investigation of Hillary Clinton unless they came upon a "real bombshell".

We shall see.

Already the term DikiLeaks or DickiLeaks is beginning to catch on (thanks to Anthony Weiner):

Somehow, even before this, I had the strange feeling that Anthony Weiner would come into play in this campaign. I guess my gut feeling was right!

Hillary FBI Investigation Reopened, Anuses Are Puckering

The spincter muscles of the Hillary Clinton campaign have to puckering fiercely right now after FBI Director James Comey announced the reopening of investigation into Clinton's email server.

The Washington Post reported:
Newly discovered emails found on a computer seized during an investigation of disgraced former Rep. Anthony Weiner have prompted the FBI to make new inquiries related to Hillary Clinton’s private email server, according to three people familiar with the deliberations.
FBI Director James B. Comey informed congressional leaders Friday that the agency would take “appropriate investigative steps” to determine whether the newly discovered emails contain classified information and to assess their importance to the Clinton server probe.
The emails were found on a computer used jointly by both Weiner and his wife, top Clinton aide Huma Adebin, according to a person with knowledge of the inquiry. Federal officials have been examining Weiner’s alleged sexually suggestive online messages with a teenage girl. The link to the Weiner probe was first reported by the New York Times.
Besides that, the FBI has Clinton's backup device that is sought in a FOIA request by Judicial Watch. The device is called a "Datto device", according to Breitbart.com in an October 13 article. If there are classified materials (or other evidence of wrongdoing) on that device on top of what may be found in Weiner's computer, this could torpedo the Clinton campaign.

FBI Director Comey has been under intense fire for his mishandling of the investigation. This may be an effort to salvage his career. A "Hail Mary!" pass, perhaps?

Here's Breitbart's story on today's news.

Weinergate II

It appears that ex-New York Congressman Anthony Weiner didn't learn his lesson when the had to resign for sexting lewd photos of his "junk" to several women.

He apparently kept on with his little hobby (using "Carlos Danger" as his Twitter handle) for six months or longer after his resignation. He is now running for mayor of New York City.

Is it a coincidence that this all got exposed on National Hot Dog Day?

Drudge's Weiner Headline Draws Chuckles

The headline the Drudge Report posted for the article on former New York Congressman Anthony Weiner's hopes to make a political comeback drew some laughs:

Weiner resigned in disgrace in 2011 after it was revealed that he Tweeted lewd pictures of his genitals to some woman who was not his wife.  Now he wants to run for New York mayor.

Meanwhile, Weiner gave a tearful interview.  To read the story, go here.

Here's a related story.

Weiner: In Touch With His Inner Monkey

Rep. Anthony Weiner said his acts were stupid and he wasn't thinking. This is possible as this from Salon indicates:

"Men who send off penis pictures probably aren't thinking at all, they're responding to an unconscious, evolutionary urge likely inherited from our primate ancestors: male monkeys and apes routinely display their penis (usually erect) to females to indicate sexual interest," cognitive neuroscientist Ogi Ogas told Salon.

So, in other words, Weiner was getting in touch with his inner monkey. Makes sense.

Weiner Confesses To Being An Online Flasher

While blogging about the Seattle Experience Music/Science Fiction Museums, Rep. Anthony Weiner's press conference was on the radio.

Weiner admitted that the photo he Tweeted days ago was him, and that he sent it (and more). He also apologized for lying to the press. He accepted "responsibility" but refuses to resign.

The man admitted to being an online flasher (there's no other way to say it). He should do the honorable thing and resign.

Going Nuts At DC Comics

DC Comics has gone nuts!

It has been reported that the comic book company is totally revamping its entire super-hero line of comic books.

According to National Post.com:

DC, the comic-book arm of Warner Bros., is rebooting its entire line of comics this fall, and is restarting all their series with a new issue No. 1.

Going forward, all new issues of DC comics will be released the same day in digital form via apps (on devices such as the iPad) and on the DC website.

The DC Universe includes characters such as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and The Green Lantern among others.

The new issues will attempt to update the heroes for the 21st century, and will notably play with their ages in several cases.

According to the Toronto Star:

DC’s revamped collection will start with “Justice League” No. 1, which will reunite the classic (albeit freshly minted) lineup of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman and Green Lantern. It will be written by DC's chief creative officer Geoff Johns and illustrated by co-publisher Jim Lee, the first time the acclaimed comic book duo have collaborated together.

I've never been a fan of Jim Lee's artwork. His 2006 Wonder Woman costume design is horrible (see picture at top). Looking at his artwork over the years gives me the impression that he flunked anatomy art classes or just skipped them altogether.

Accompanying the article is a picture of Superman with a caption stating that Superman may become younger or get a whole new costume. From the picture above by Jim Lee and Scott Williams, Superman does look younger (looks like SuperBOY) and his costume has changed. He still has his red cape, but he appears to have a collar(!) and lost his red trunks (will they show up in a new Anthony Weiner photo?). This is crazy! The costume is iconic and is embedded in American folklore. Looks like Jim Lee messed that up big time! To put it bluntly, Superman's new costume looks like crap!

All this is complicated, especially in the case of Superman. The heirs of Superman creators Jerry Siegel and Jerome Shuster have regained some ownership of the Superman character, but a recent article in Variety indicates that Superman may be legally split in two. Certain aspects may be owned by the heirs, while others would be retained by DC Comics if this comes to pass. It would be tragic if it came to this (two Supermen). Why can't DC and the heirs sit down and hammer out an agreement/partnership? This is getting weirder and weirder!

Some have speculated that these changes were made with their litigation involving the Siegel/Shuster heirs in mind.

Thank goodness I've given up reading comic books long ago. But these changes seem unnecessary and radical.

A thumb's down from here!

Weiner Making Himself Look Guilty

Rep. Anthony Weiner seems to be digging himself deeper into a hole on "Weinergate."

According to an article from the Village Voice blog:

With evasive answers and all-around awkwardness, Anthony Weiner is making sure #Weinergate doesn't go away any time soon, as we guessed it might yesterday before a head-smackingly bad press conference made the guy look guilty as hell. This afternoon, Weiner told Luke Russert of NBC News that he "didn't send that picture out," but when pushed to clarify -- "That's not a picture of you?" Russert followed-up -- made things way worse. "You know, I can't say with certitude," Weiner said. That means it's his penis, doesn't it?

C'mon! Every guy knows what his, uh, junk looks like ("like the back of your hand").

This little scandal is getting hilarious. Even some liberal sites are starting to think that the photo is of Weiner's wiener. The Village Voice isn't exactly what one would call a conservative-friendly publicatation.

Probably the only person really happy about this is former Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. This story got his problems off the front page (at least for a while).

To read the full article, go here.

UPDATE: Weiner was interviewed by CNN's Wolf Blitzer:

WOLF BLITZER, CNN: "Have you ever taken a picture like this of yourself?"

REP. ANTHONY WEINER (D-NY): "I can tell you this, that there are -- I have photographs. I don't know what photographs are out there in the world of me. I don't know what have been manipulated and doctored and we're going to try to find out what happened. But the most important reason I want to find out what happened is to make sure that it doesn't happen again. Obviously somebody got access to my account. That's bad. They sent a picture that makes fun of the name Weiner. I get it. Touche."

Couldn't he just say "no"?

Weinergate: Was that "Little Anthony"?

Funny how karma works in strange ways.

Liberal Democrat Rep. Anthony Weiner, one of the most obnoxious libs in Congress, finds himself embroiled in a scandal over a lewd photo originating from his Twitter account.

The Washington Post reported:

Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.) has become the latest member of Congress to run into Twitter trouble after a lewd photo was sent from his account on the microblogging site Friday night.

The photo, which was taken from the waist down and shows a man in bulging gray underwear, was first reported early Saturday by BigGovernment.com, the Web site of conservative commentator Andrew Breitbart.

The photo is available and can be easily found via Google.

Was that "Little Anthony"?

Weiner contends that his Twitter account was hacked but refuses to answer reporters' questions:

Weiner’s office said Monday that the congressman had retained an attorney following the incident. Neither Weiner nor his spokesman have directly responded to several questions about the matter, including whether the photo of an underwear-clad groin was of Weiner or whether Weiner has asked law enforcement officials to investigate.

Also, he got into a testy argument with reporters, calling one a "jackass."

Warren Buffett and the "Banking Queen"

Billionaire Warren Buffett told CNBC in an interview that he sees no signs of a recovery in the economy:

BUFFETT: Well, it's been pretty flat. I get figures on 70-odd businesses, a lot of them daily. Everything that I see about the economy is that we've had no bounce. The financial system was really where the crisis was last September and October, and that's been surmounted and that's enormously important.

Buffett also criticized Obama's cap-and-trade energy tax scheme as a "huge, regressive tax."

He is basically saying that the stimulous/porkulous bills failed (i.e., Obama failed). All they accomplished was to saddle the country with four times the national debt we had previously.

Speaking of the economy, one of the architects of the current meltdown, Congressman Barney Frank is at it again (it seems the "Banking Queen" hasn't learned his lesson):

Two U.S. Democratic lawmakers (Representatives Barney Frank, the chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, and Anthony Weiner) want Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to relax recently tightened standards for mortgages on new condominiums, saying they could threaten the viability of some developments and slow the housing-market recovery.
Source: Reuters.

I'll go out on a limb and make a prediction: the economy will get worse and this, along with the Democrats' tax and spending schemes will cause them to lose both majorities in congress and will threaten the very existence of the Democrat Party.
