The Drudge Report: I'm Not The Only One Who Noticed

Above, a Drudge headline before it went to the Dark Side.

Last month, I mentioned that the Drudge Report has gone over to "The Dark Side" recently and posted some alternative news aggregation sites for people who are fed up with Drudge.

Apparently, I am not the only one who noticed that the Drudge Report has gone over to "The Dark Side".

PJ Media posted:

"What happened to Drudge?"A lot of people have been asking that question lately. If you talk to conservatives these days, you'll hear that Matt Drudge's eponymous news aggregation site has gone over to the dark side—that Matt's joined the anti-Trump resistance. And now, Rasmussen Reports, an arguably reputable polling operation, is calling Drudge out on Twitter, even suggesting that the site has been sold. 

The whole kerfuffle appears to have begun at the end of November, when the Bongino Report, touted as a Trump-friendly alternative to Drudge, launched.

One America News Network

The other day, I mentioned The Liberty Daily, which bills itself as "the conservative alternative to the Drudge Report."

Thanks to a tip, I took a look at another alternative to the Drudge Report, which seems to have gone over to the "Dark Side" and is now spewing fake news. One would think that the Counterfeit News Network (CNN) took it over.

It is the One America News Network. At first, the name didn't ring a bell. Then, when I took a look, it rang a bell. I have seen their postings on Facebook.

The Liberty Daily, The Alternative To Drudge Report

It used to be that The Drudge Report was a reasonably reliable source for news.

Not anymore.

It became glaringly obvious that owner/operator Matt Drudge has become a "never Trumper" and is catering more to the lunatic left by spewing fake news. Drudge has gone over to "The Dark Side".

The "straw that broke the camel's back" was his headlines over Ambassador Gordon Sondland's testimony before the impeachment "inquiry" of "pencilneck" Rep. Adam Schiff the other day.

Drudge's headlines relied solely on the beginning part of Sondland's testmony and totally ignored his statements that Trump "wanted nothing" and wanted the new Ukraine president to "do the right thing" as he promised during his election campaign.

I emailed Matt Drudge the following:

Matt: 

You need to change your headlines. Sondland did not tie aid to Ukraine to investigations. NO quid pro quo! You have it wrong based on fake news media jumping the gun.

No changes and no response came from Drudge.

So now I am using the "conservative alternative to the Drudge Report", The Liberty Daily.

It uses a similar format to the Drudge Report in its layout, so finding news stories of interest will be easy.

I recommend dropping the Drudge Report as a news source and get your news instead from The Liberty Daily.

It's Back To Magnitude 7.1!

If there is any needed reason to why I am glad to be out of California, the latest seismic activity in the Ridgecrest/Searles Valley area is a darn good one.

According to KTLA News about tonight's earthquake:

After a swarm of more than 1,400 earthquakes hit the Searles Valley region over the past two days, a magnitude 7.1 temblor — the biggest yet — struck Friday evening. 

The quake hit roughly 10 and a half miles from Ridgecrest at about 8:19 p.m., the U.S. Geological Survey reports. After previously downgrading it a 6.9 magnitude, seismologist pushed it back up to the preliminary figure of 7.1. 

It hit at a depth of about half a mile, shallower than the 6.4 magnitude Fourth of July foreshock that was previously thought to be what seismologists call the “mainshock.” 

Shaking was felt across Southern California and as far as Las Vegas.

Thankfully, my home is built on a hill of solid bedrock, there's no chance of any liquefaction here, if we ever have an earthquake.

Mick Jagger To Get Stent

Mick Jagger, frontman for the rock group the Rolling Geezers, oops, I mean Rolling Stones, made international news when word came out that the group's North American tour has been postponed until after Jagger recovers from a procedure to put in a heart stent.

According to the Japan Times:

LONDON - Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger will undergo heart surgery this week following the postponement of the band’s North American tour for medical reasons, according to a published report. 

The U.S. website Drudge Report, citing unidentified sources, said Jagger, 75, would undergo surgery this week in New York to replace a heart valve. New York Post’s Page Six website, citing unidentified sources, said the surgery would involve placing a stent in the singer’s heart. 

Representatives for Jagger in the United States did not return requests for comment. A spokesman for the British band in London declined to comment on the Drudge Report article. 

Stents are typically used to prop open arteries that have been cleared of a blockage.

Jagger's recovery, provided that his procedure only involves placing a stent, shouldn't take too long. I had two stents put into a heart artery last summer and it took me about two months to feel back to normal. The procedure itself was surprisingly painless.

Hillary Is In Deep Doo-Doo!

The Robert Mueller investigation into the alleged Trump Russia collusion matter was sparked by the phoney dossier that was proven to be bogus.

Now, after millions of taxpayer money had been spent for nothing, it now comes out that the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee paid for the dossier's creation.

It looks like a few Democrat asses are puckering up! Maybe the Clintons will finally get what they deserve: jail.

Leaker Reality Winner Denied Bail

It looks like national security leaker Reality Winner (good name for a racehorse) is going to be sitting in the tank for quite a while. A federal judge denied bail.

The Washington Post reported:

A federal judge on Thursday denied bail to Reality Leigh Winner, the 25-year-old Georgia woman accused of leaking classified information to the media, after prosecutors argued she remains a flight risk, a threat to the public and could possibly leak more government documents. 

Winner, a National Security Agency contractor and former Air Force linguist, pleaded not guilty in U.S. District Court to a federal charge of gathering, transmitting or losing defense information, a felony offense under the Espionage and Censorship Act, according to the Associated Press. 

She is the first person charged with leaking classified information during the Trump administration, which has called repeatedly for investigations into media reports on leaked intelligence. If convicted, Winner could face up to 10 years in prison.

After seeing it, my first thought was, "She looks like a dude!" Reading on, I found out why: she is a crossfit enthusiast. That's the perfect way to get a manly body. She'll have plenty of time to do her workouts to look like The Incredible Hulk while in prison.

Kathy Griffin's Tasteless Joke Backfires

Another tasteless "joke" by a leftist "comedian" has backfired as the backlash over a photo forced Kathy Griffin to issue a video apology.

According to the Daily Mail:

Kathy Griffin has apologized for posting a photo of President Trump's severed head after furious backlash - including from Chelsea Clinton - and the Secret Service tweeted suggested she may be investigated over the stunt. 

The controversial comedian tweeted 'I am sorry. I went too far. I was wrong' after Griffin was seen slowly raising Trump's head during a photoshoot with infamous photographer Tyler Shields. She also posted a video promising to remove the offending image. 

But the apology was not enough to stop an army of critics, both Trump supporters and Democrats from attacking Griffin on social media for the outrageous stunt. 

Her long-time New Years Eve co-host Anderson Cooper said he was 'appalled' by the photo shoot, which he described as 'clearly disgusting and completely inappropriate.'

Murdered DNC Staffer Was In Contact With WikiLeaks

The family of Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich hired a private investigator to look into his murder and something verrrry interesting was found.

According to Fox 5 in Washington, D.C.:

WASHINGTON - It has been almost a year since Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich was murdered in the nation's capital. There have been no solid answers about why he was killed until now. 

Rich was shot and killed last July in Northwest D.C and police have suggested the killing in the District's Bloomingdale neighborhood was a botched robbery. However, online conspiracy theories have tied the murder to Rich's work at the DNC. 

Just two months shy of the one-year anniversary of Rich's death, FOX 5 has learned there is new information that could prove these theorists right. 

Rod Wheeler, a private investigator hired by the Rich family, suggests there is tangible evidence on Rich's laptop that confirms he was communicating with WikiLeaks prior to his death.

It is far more likely that interests a lot closer to home than Russia was behind Rich's murder.

While the liberal American media are engaging in hysterics over FBI Director James Comey's firing today by President Trump, here's something from the United Kingdom's Daily Mail:

• Donald Trump has dramatically fired the FBI Director after he misled the Senate by claiming Huma Abedin sent classified emails to Anthony Weiner
• He writes to James Comey: 'You are hereby terminated and removed from office immediately.' 
• Comey found out on live TV screens in Los Angeles that he was being fired but thought it was a joke until he was briefed by his staff
• He was later seen in his motorcade on a city interstate - in a bizarre parallel to O.J. Simpson - before boarding a private plane and shaking hands with officers
• Deputy Attorney General  Rod Rosenstein and Attorney General Jeff Sessions wrote formal memo saying they had no confidence in him
• Trump used letter dismissing Comey to say: 'I greatly appreciate you informing me, in three separate occasions, that I am not under investigation'
• Chuck Schumer, Democrats' most senior figure said he had told President Trump that firing Comey was a 'very big mistake'
• Democrats piled on by comparing Trump to Richard Nixon who fired top justice officials in the Saturday Night Massacre but Clinton aide said: 'No comment.'

"Bad Boys" Obama and Putin Flexing Muscles

The testosterone is flowing within the leaders of Russia and the United States as Obama has deployed special forces at the Russian border.

According to The Sun (U.K.):

PRESIDENT Obama has deployed US special forces troops along Lithuania’s border with “aggressive” Russia. 

Tensions between Washington and the Kremlin have reached Cold War levels amid reports Vladimir Putin is deploying nuke-ready missiles in the Russian province of Kaliningrad – which borders Poland, Belarus and Lithuania. 

And Lithuanian Defence Ministry spokeswoman Asta Galdikaite confirmed America has offered additional military support following Russia’s annexation of Crimea. 

She said: “The United States was the first to offer additional safety assurance measures to the Baltic countries following the deterioration of the security situation in the region after the annexation of the Crimea.” 

She added: “US Special Operations Forces presence in Lithuania is one of the deterrents” against military threats by Putin’s aggressive regime, reports the Express.

I don't know who is worse, Obama or Putin. January 20 cannot come soon enough.

Kilauea Lava Lake Rises In Recent Days

Back in May, while on the Big Island of Hawaii, we took a helicopter tour of the Kilauea volcano aboard Blue Hawaiian Helicopters.

During the tour, we were treated to some good views of molten lava in a vent of the volcano. It was quite impressive.

An article by the Hawaii Tribune-Herald caught my attention at The Drudge Report about the recent activity of Kilauea volcano.

They wrote:

HONOLULU (AP) — The lava lake at the summit of Kilauea volcano has been rising in recent days, offering visitors a dramatic view of rolling, spattering hot rock. 

Hawaiian Volcano Observatory research scientist Don Swanson said Monday scientists don’t know exactly why the lava is this high. 

It’s relatively unusual, though. Lava overflowed onto the crater floor in May of last year, raising the rim that confines the lake by another 30 feet. Before last year, it was previously this high in 1974 and in the late 1960s.

The Democrats' New Email Scandal

We can thank Wikileaks for us not having Debbie Wasserman Schultz to kick around anymore.

The disclosed emails from the Democratic National Committee shows that the so-called "party of fairness" was not so fair after all. They rigged the primary season in favor of Hillary Clinton over Bernie Sanders.

According to the Associated Press:

PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- On the heels of a tumultuous Republican convention, Hillary Clinton arrives in Philadelphia eager to show off a forward-looking Democratic Party united behind her steady leadership. To do that, she must overcome lingering bitterness among supporters of defeated rival Bernie Sanders and clean up a resurgent political mess of the party's own making. 

The resignation of Debbie Wasserman Schultz as chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee made for a rocky start on Sunday, as the Florida congresswoman heeded Sanders' longstanding call to leave as party chief. Her departure comes a few days after the publication of 19,000 hacked emails, which Sanders said confirmed his belief the national party played favorites for Clinton during the primary.
