Tourists visiting Osaka who wish to be connected to the Internet through their iPads, iPhones or laptop computers at major tourist sites can do so according to a plan by the Osaka Government Tourism Bureau.
According to Kyodo News:
The Osaka Government Tourism Bureau is planning to offer free Wi-Fi Internet access at nearly all of the prefecture's sightseeing spots to make it easier for tourists to obtain information and to draw more travelers to the prefecture, its director Kunio Kano said Thursday.
Kyoto and Fukuoka cities have also been working to introduce free Wi-Fi at their railway stations, airports and public facilities. Kano told a meeting at the Kansai Press Club that Osaka is eyeing one of the nation's largest Wi-Fi networks for tourists.Osaka was featured in Godzilla Raids Again (1955) (a.k.a. Gigantis The Fire Monster) and in Godzilla vs. Biollante (1989) and is spotlighted in The Monster Movie Fan's Guide To Japan.
