The U.S. dollar's performance in exchange with the Japanese yen had taken an upswing Friday as it topped the 100-yen mark for the first time in two months.
According to Jiji Press:
Tokyo, Nov. 15 (Jiji Press)--The dollar hit a two-month high above 100 yen in Tokyo trading Friday, as risk appetite among investors increased thanks to stock market rises in the United States and elsewhere.
At 5 p.m., the dollar was quoted at 100.18-22 yen, up from 99.74-78 yen at the same time on Thursday. This is good news for those who want to make a trip to Japan a part of their holiday season plans. My cousin left for Japan yesterday on business for the American Honda Motor Co. Looks like her timing was perfect.
