NHK World

One of the benefits of digital television is the access to different stations from around the world.

Instead of few channels to chose from, as in the old days, more stations are available for U.S. viewers. One such channel is NHK World from Japan.

NHK World's programming includes news, arts & design, food, current affairs, pop culture & fashion, science & nature, biz & tech, travels, documentaries and culture & lifestyle.

I found NHK World to be a valuable source for news on the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and tsunami.

If your community does not carry NHK, you can watch their programs through their website: http://www3.nhk.or.jp/nhkworld/

From their website:

I just happened to watch it yesterday. An excellent story on a Japanese women building a fashion products business in Bangladesh.

I am sick to death of the moronic idiots on CNN and Fox regurgitating the same Demo-GOP talking points 24-7.
