General Electric, the parent company of NBC-Universal, had their annual shareholders meeting today and it wasn't "business as usual."
Shareholders loudly voiced their displeasure over the leftward tilt of MSNBC and its biased reporting during the presidential campaign and during the recent tax day tea parties.
Several got up and spoke and aimed their ire at Keith Olbermann's interview with Janeane Garofalo in which she called tea party attendees "racists" with no challenge by Olbermann.
At least a couple of shareholders who took to the microphone had the microphone shut off, according to a report by the Hollywood Reporter.
The Hollywood Reporter quoted one attendee:
"The crowd was very upset with MSNBC because of its leftward tilt," one attendee said. "Some former employees said they were embarrassed by it."
