It has been reported that CNN "reporter" Susan Roesgen, who got into a political debate with a peaceful demonstrator at the Chicago Tea Party instead of being a professional reporter, is now on "extended leave."
I checked around but couldn't find any news or other confirmation of this.
Here's a transcript of the exchange at the Chicago Tea Party:
SUSAN ROESGEN, CNN REPORTER: OK. You're here with your two-year-old and you're already in debt. Why are you here today?
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Because I hear a president say that he believed in what Lincoln stood for. Lincoln's primary thing was he believed that people had the right to liberty and they had the right...
ROESGEN: Sir, what does this have to do with taxes? What does this have to do with your taxes —
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Let me finish speaking.
ROESGEN: Do you realize that you're eligible for a $400 —
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Let me finish my point. Lincoln believed that people had the right to share in the fruits of their own labor and that government should not take it. And we have clearly gotten to that point.
ROESGEN: Wait. OK. Well, Kyra, we'll move on over here. I think you get the general tenor of this. It's anti-government, anti-CNN since this is highly promoted by the right wing conservative network FOX, and since I can't really hear much more, and I think this is not really family viewing I'll toss it back to you, Kyra.
It was also reported that she had applied for a reporter's position with Fox News but was turned down. Maybe that's why she's so bitter at Fox?
She shouldn't be put on "extended leave" (if that is the case), she should be fired.

Completely biased and unprofessional behavior. Roesgen stands as a perfect example of press bias. The point of journalism is to honestly present the facts. Roesgen was utterly consumed with her desire to editorialize and condemn normal Americans. Their sin - protesting the remarkable spectacle of the federal government planning to triple, TRIPLE, the national debt while planning carbon taxes that will hit all Americans. She has absolutely no business being a news reporter. If she wants to be an editorial commenter she can doubtless find an ultra-left position at MSNBC.
Roesgen, thought she was beyond contempt, well welcome to the real world darling. I wonder if she knows that she is now in line to get $400. I hope to never see her on tv again.
