Good To Meet You, Comrade! You Too, Comrade!

President Obama is shown shaking hands with Venezuela's President Hugo Chavez at the Summit of the Americas in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad today. This and other photos were relased by Venezuela's Miraflores Press Office, which is government-controlled.

It appears to be a meeting of like minds.

"I think it was a good moment," Chavez said about their initial encounter. "I think President Obama is an intelligent man, compared to the previous U.S. president."

Say what you want about him but can you disagree?

I'm sure he is. No dummy can get elected president. But that doesn't preclude people from taking issue with his policies.

Oh I agree with you 100%. (see? It's possble.)
But careful when you imply that Obama is socialist by posting a headline like "Good To Meet You, Comrade! You Too, Comrade!" without anything to support it.

Remember Reagan was criticized for expanding the Earned Income Tax Credit as socialism for the poor.

Obama's past associations, voting record and policy statements speak for themselves.

Does "spread the wealth" jog a memory?
