Attention Godzilla collectors!
To commemorate Godzilla's 60th anniversary, a Tokyo-based jeweler will be offering a pure gold statuette of the monster.
Kyodo News reported:
The operator of a Tokyo-based jewelry store chain will begin taking orders Sunday for a pure gold statuette of Godzilla priced at 150 million yen, commemorating the 60th anniversary of the original Japanese film's release.
Tanaka Kikinzoku Jewelry K.K. will take orders for the statuette at its nine outlets with production expected to take about two months. Fifteen kilograms of pure gold will be used in each statuette.
The statuette measures around 24 centimeters in height, 19 cm in width and 35 cm in length.In case you're wondering what the conversion of 150 million yen to U.S. dollars is, here's today's rate of exchange:
