At the beginning of the month, the Los Angeles Times Travel section reported that airfares between Los Angeles and Tokyo (round-trip) were at $824 on the low end and $1,502 on the high end. These are before any taxes and fees were added in.
Yesterday's Los Angeles Times Travel section showed a shift in airfares. On the low end, the fare they found was $959. On the high end, prices did come down. The price they found was at $1,311. These, again are before any taxes or fees are added in.
I'd have expected that airfares would have remained steady, and not rise. At least fares on the high end dropped almost $200.
If there's any change of significance next week, I'll report it.
