A storm will pass through the southwestern U.S. this weekend with widespread rain and mountain snow. Rainfall will be mostly beneficial but poses a risk for dangerous debris flows over recent burn scars.
Well, we sure can use the snow (or even rain) here in the Four Corners region. It has been a dry winter so far.
The forecast for the Gallup/Jamestown, New Mexico area:

Sunny, with a high near 47. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Tonight
Mostly clear, with a low around 18. Southeast wind around 5 mph.
Monday
Sunny, with a high near 49. Southeast wind 5 to 15 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon.

A 20 percent chance of snow showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 16. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
