Above, a year ago. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

It is still dry as a bone outside. The bulk of the storm is hitting the state east of Albuquerque in the Clines Corners and Moriarty areas along Interstate 40.

According to the National Weather Service, the forecast for Gallup and Jamestown is as follows:

Wednesday
Sunny, with a high near 37. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming northeast in the afternoon.
Wednesday Night
Mostly clear, with a low around 13. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm.
Thursday
Isolated snow showers after 11am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 31. Light and variable wind becoming northwest 10 to 15 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Thursday Night
A 30 percent chance of snow showers before 11pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 11. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming northwest after midnight.
Friday
