GOP Leadership Traitors Have Sold Us Down The River

It is no wonder the Republican base and like-minded independents are furious, the GOP House leadership that is led by House Speaker Paul Ryan has stabbed everyone in the back. Again.

Obama got everything he wanted in the spending bill. Obamacare: fully funded. Planned Parenthood: fully funded. Sanctuary Cities: fully funded. And the list goes on and on. What's the difference between John Boehner and Paul Ryan? Absolutely nothing.

Rush Limbaugh had a great monologue on this. He nailed it!

He began with:

RUSH: The country was just sold down the river again by your very Republican Party.  

I have a headline here from the Washington Times:  "White House Declares Total Victory Over GOP in Budget Battle." That headline's a misnomer.  There was never a battle.  None of this was opposed.  The Republican Party didn't stand up to any of it, and the die has been cast for a long time on this.  I know many of you are dispirited, depressed, angry, combination of all of that. But, folks, there was no other way this could go. Because two years ago when the Republican Party declared they would never do anything that would shut down the government and they would not impeach Obama, there were no obstacles in Obama's way and there were no obstacles in the way of the Democrat Party. 

What's the point in having an opposition party when they become wimps and don't oppose? They were elected to oppose the status quo in Washington, but they are to scared to even try. Small wonder "establishment Republicans" are doing terribly in the presidential contest.

I am almost ready to decide whom I will be supporting for the GOP presidential nomination. One thing is for certain, it won't be an establishment Republican. I, for one, am fed up with them. They have betrayed us and I will be doing what I can to defeat them.

The Day Speaker Boehner Grew Some Balls

President Obama refusal to negotiate on ObamaCare has led to the continuing shutdown of the federal government.

The government, contrary to what the mainstream media is telling people, is operating at 83%, which isn't too bad.

On today's This Week with George Stephanopoulos, House Speaker John Boehner said about the president, “He knows what my phone number is, all he has to do is call." He added, "The president just can’t sit there and say, ‘I’m not going to negotiate.' "

According to Boehner, there aren't enough votes in the House of Representatives to re-open the government with no strings attached.

Finally, Speaker Boehner is holding firm and it is up to President Obama to start negotiations to re-open the government. I am in full support of Boehner's position. He finally grew some balls!

Many government programs are at a standstill and is hurting a lot of people. Personally, this means that the annual check from the U.S. Department of Agriculture that I receive for a farm program will be delayed.  But I am willing to wait for the greater good.

Obama must also agree to delay the full implementation of ObamaCare and agree to negotiate on changes to the law that will make the current monstrosity workable.

Kudos to Speaker Boehner and the House for sending Obama the message that he is not a dictator and must work with the other branches of government.

Obama Storms Out Of Debt Negotiations

President Obama got agitated at a conference with congressional leaders on the debt and "stormed" out.

Fox News is reporting:

Budget negotiators will return to the White House once more Thursday after the president declared "enough is enough" on debt talks Wednesday, demanding that congressional leaders find common ground by week's end.

President Obama walked out of the high-level negotiations, saying according to a Republican aide, "I've reached my limit. This may bring my presidency down, but I won't yield on this."

Obama "stormed out of the room" but promised to resume talks Thursday, the GOP aide said.

"He became very agitated, said 'Ronald Reagan wouldn't sit here. You either have to compromise on the dollar figure or the grand bargain,'" Cantor said. "He said, 'Don't call my bluff. I'm going to the American people on this.'"

Obama, in his cushy job as a community organizer and agitator, never had to deal with any kind of real opposition. Now that he has opposition, he can't handle it.

New House Oversight Report Exposes Obama Administration’s Anti-Energy Agenda

Your car is almost on empty. So you go to the local gasoline station to fill up your 15-gallon gas tank. The cost at the pump is $4.15/gallon for 87 octane unleaded regular.

Your car needed 14 gallons. The cost: $58.10.

You should send a letter to the White House and thank President Obama for the high gasoline price you had to pay. After all, he planned it that way.

House Speaker John Boehner's website as a posting on a new House Oversight Report on the Obama Administration's policies of intentionally causing high fuel prices.

The report has these key findings:

Key Obama Administration figures have expressed a belief that Americans should pay more for energy – a pattern of actions shows the Administration is, in fact, pursuing an agenda that will raise the price Americans pay for energy.

U.S. domestic energy resources are currently the largest on earth—greater than Saudi Arabia, China and Canada combined.

Recent Administration action has already led to significant cost and regulatory barriers that have limited domestic production of oil.

EPA has collaborated with environmental groups to target independent energy producers for environmental concerns not related to their operations.

Some green energy sources the Administration is promoting at the expense of expanded domestic oil, gas, and coal supplies create unintended environmental, security and economic consequences.

Obama's Oil Solution: Higher Taxes and Prices

As usual, President Obama's solution for the current series of oil price spikes is...more taxes.

According to Yahoo News:

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Amid rising gasoline prices at the pump, President Barack Obama urged congressional leaders Tuesday to take steps to repeal oil industry tax breaks, reiterating a call he made in his 2012 budget proposal earlier this year. The White House conceded his plan would do nothing in the short term to lower gas prices.

The president wrote a letter to the bipartisan congressional leadership on Tuesday, a day after Republican House Speaker John Boehner said he was willing to "take a look at" repealing the multibillion-dollar tax subsidies enjoyed by the major oil companies.

Rising gas prices have become a political weight for the White House, with polls showing that as the cost rises at the pump, the president's approval ratings have slipped. Obama has increasingly sought to display action on oil, even as he acknowledges that there is no immediate answer to stem costs.

Of those subsidies were repealed, just were do you suppose the oil companies will look to in order to make up those lost revenues? In our wallets, of course!

Above, these gas prices would seem cheap if President Obama has his way.

As mentioned before, the current surge in high oil (i.e., gasoline) prices come from the Obama Administration's policies in not allowing new drilling (including his moratorium on no-drilling in the Gulf), the weakness in the U.S. dollar (caused by Obama's and the Democrat-controlled congress of 2009-10) and the tensions in the Middle East.

Boehner is not helping matters any by parroting the Left's "fair share" mantra.

“The United States has a moral obligation to stand with those who seek freedom from oppression and self-government for their people. It’s unacceptable and outrageous for Qadhafi to attack his own people, and the violence must stop.

“The President is the commander-in-chief, but the Administration has a responsibility to define for the American people, the Congress, and our troops what the mission in Libya is, better explain what America’s role is in achieving that mission, and make clear how it will be accomplished. Before any further military commitments are made, the Administration must do a better job of communicating to the American people and to Congress about our mission in Libya and how it will be achieved.”

Authorization from the Congress would also be a big help, since we weren't attacked. President Bush obtained authorization from the Congress before we went into Afghanistan and Iraq.

House Leadership Says "No" On Stimulous

The House GOP leadership is finally showing some guts by urging their members to vote against the proposed Democrat stimulous package when it comes up for a vote tomorrow.

President Barack Obama is coming to the Capitol this afternoon to curry favor with congressional Republicans. But it appears GOP leaders have already made up their minds to oppose his $825 billion stimulus plan.

House Republican Leader John A. Boehner and his No. 2, Whip Eric Cantor, told their rank-and-file members Tuesday morning during a closed-door meeting to oppose the bill when it comes to the floor Wednesday, according to an aide familiar with the discussion. Boehner told members that he's voting against the stimulus, and Cantor told the assembled Republicans that there wasn't any reason for them to support the measure, according to another person in the room. Cantor and his whip team are going to urge GOP members to oppose it.

If the House Republican Caucus holds firm with a no vote, they should be commended. The stimulous package is a complete waste of taxpayers' money and would only benefit the Democrats.
