Fauci, The F*cker Needs To Be Jailed!

The Gutfeld group took at look at Anthony Fauci's hearing before the congressional hearing. Talk about infuriating. The S.O.B. was granted a blanket pardon so he really couldn't lawfully plead the Fifth.

The bastard needs to be jailed for Contempt of Congress.

Summary:

Fox News host Greg Gutfeld and the ‘Gutfeld!’ panel analyze Dr. Anthony Fauci’s congressional hearing in which he invoked the Fifth Amendment 111 times.

At least the video ends with a humorous reference to Clint Eastwood and the Second Amendment.

Fetterman Warns Democrats 'Drifting Firmly Into Communism'

The Democrat Party is not your granddaddy's party anymore.

They have turned full on communist. Several Democrats who have declared themselves socialists defeated mainstream traditional democrats in primaries.

Sen. John Fetterman is sounding the alarm.

From Fox News:

Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., delivered a blistering rebuke of the Democratic Party's progressive wing, arguing the party is "drifting firmly into communism" after socialist-backed candidates scored major victories in New York.

"It was a huge night for the dirtbag left last night in New York City, without a doubt," Fetterman told "The Will Cain Show."

Fetterman said Wednesday the Democratic Party is increasingly embracing candidates who are "anti-Israel," "anti-American" and opposed to core institutions like immigration enforcement and prisons.

Cruise Tipping Charges Are 'Out of Control'

Above, yours truly enjoying a cocktail on a Bahamas cruise in 2024.

The old term, "nickel and diming people to death" is something that cruise passengers have put up with over the years. This also applies to tipping (gratuities) while on board.

According to a Fox News article, it is getting worse.

They posted an article that tipping "just keeps on growing."

They start it with:

Cruise passengers are getting hit with a familiar vacation surprise: the bill that keeps growing after they book.

Daily gratuities, drink-package service charges, specialty dining fees and other automatic add-ons have become a flashpoint for travelers who say cruise vacations are being advertised one way, yet priced another.

Frustration is said to be mounting as several cruise lines have raised their gratuity or service charges in 2026.

'Supergirl' Pre-release Tracking Looks Disastrously Bad

Above, the classic Supergirl by Jim Mooney.

When James Gunn's Superman was released, I was not impressed. The costume was horrible and the story was not interesting enough to me to head to the local theater.

It appears his Supergirl is underwhelming people as well and is on track to be a disappointing flop.

I enjoyed the previous Superman movies, you know, the Henry Cavill ones. I wasn't too thrilled over his costume either, but I liked the movies and his portrayal. DC Entertainment decided to jettison that series and do another reboot.

Above, the first appearance of Supergirl by Curt Swan and Al Plastino.

Fox News has posted an article on how Supergirl is not looking too promising.

They begin it with:

DC Studios, housed at Warner Bros. Pictures, has tried to revamp its film and release strategies under the direction of James Gunn. Gunn, who was responsible for the "Guardians of the Galaxy" series, joined DC in 2022. His first big movie, made to jump-start the new DC direction, was 2025's "Superman." While not exactly a flop, it was a box-office disappointment. And Gunn himself may have been partially to blame.

Though the film avoided politics almost entirely, for some inexplicable reason, Gunn himself brought it up in pre-release promotional interviews.

"Yes, it’s about politics," Gunn explained in a story from The Times of London. "But on another level, it’s about morality.

"I mean, ‘Superman’ is the story of America – an immigrant that came from other places and populated the country," he continued. "But for me, it is mostly a story that says basic human kindness is a value and is something we have lost."

"It’s about human kindness, and obviously, there will be jerks out there who are just not kind and will take it as offensive just because it is about kindness. But screw them," he concluded.

Sure enough, "Superman" brought in substantially less money, before and after adjusting for inflation, than "Man of Steel." And pre-release tracking for the latest entry in Gunn's new DC Studios series, "Supergirl," is tracking to do substantially worse.

Secret Service Acted Without Pay, Thanks To Democrats

Although the U.S. Secret Service did a great job in apprehending a shooter at the White House Correspondents Dinner at the Washington Hilton, they are doing so without pay.

This is thanks to the Democrats led by Chuck Schumer in refusing to find the Department of Homeland Security which oversees the Secret Service along with the TSA.

According to Fox News:

A shooting near President Donald Trump and several Cabinet members Saturday night is putting a spotlight on the Secret Service’s funding shortfall amid an ongoing standoff in Congress.

A gunman opened fire outside the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner at the Washington Hilton in Washington, D.C., where celebrities, members of the press and administration officials had gathered, prompting a swift security response. The suspect is in custody and has not been identified. One Secret Service agent was reportedly shot in their protective vest but is uninjured.

The incident unfolded near a security screening area, prompting a rapid response from Secret Service agents and law enforcement.

The shooting comes amid a more than 60-day funding stalemate in Congress over the Department of Homeland Security — a lapse driven by Democrats blocking funding bills and rejecting multiple GOP-backed proposals to reopen the department.

The funding standoff centers on disputes over immigration enforcement policy and has raised concerns about resources for agencies including the Secret Service, FEMA and the U.S. Coast Guard.

The Secret Service, which is responsible for protecting the president, vice president, their families and other senior U.S. officials, along with visiting heads of state, has faced growing demands in recent years.

The incident adds to a growing list of threats against Trump, including two confirmed assassination attempts and a recent incident involving an armed intruder at Mar-a-Lago.

New Injection Could Help Reverse Damage

Above, yours truly in a Twin Falls, Idaho hospital after two stents were installed.

Eight years ago, when I had my heart attack (or something very close to it) in Wells, Nevada. It was due to fast action by a friend that got paramedics to me that prevented any heart muscle damage. All I needed were two stents to remedy a coronary artery blockage in Twin Falls, Idaho.

I recovered so well that I was able to go on a cruise to Cuba and do some river rafting in Jackson, Wyoming the following year. I also shed some weight as well.

My Lexiscan (and other exams) last summer showed no new blockages. Whew!

Meantime, Fox News posted a story on a new therapy that may repair cardiac muscle damage following a heart attack. I was sent the article by my "honorary sister" Diane.

The article starts with:

Scientists have developed a new therapy designed to repair cardiac damage after a heart attack.

The study, led by researchers at Columbia University and published in the journal Nature Biomedical Engineering, explored a two-step strategy that uses skeletal muscle to produce a healing molecule that activates when it reaches an injured heart.

Unlike many organs, the adult human heart has a limited ability to repair itself after a heart attack, the researchers noted.

Congressional Approval Not Needed

The only people mad about the capture of Nicolás Maduro from Venezuela are Russia, China, Iran and Democrats. Notice a pattern here?

There's a few panty waists around who whine that President Trump has to get congressional approval for this kind of operation.

Appeals Court Strikes Down California Open-Carry Ban

Slowly, but surely, the courts are striking down California's wacko gun laws.

This time, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals struck down the state's ban on open-carry of firearms.

Fox News reported:

A federal appeals court on Friday struck down California’s ban on openly carrying guns across most of the state.

In a 2–1 decision, the San Francisco-based Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit ruled California's ban on open carry in counties with more than 200,000 people — covering roughly 95% of the state’s population — violates the Second Amendment, according to Reuters.

U.S. Circuit Judge Lawrence VanDyke, writing for the majority, said the ban conflicts with the Supreme Court’s 2022 decision in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen, which requires gun regulations to be consistent with the nation’s "historical tradition of firearm regulation," Reuters reported.

102-Year Old Reaches Mount Fuji Summit

Above, a Shinkansen view of Mount Fuji. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

While some of us baby boomers are facing the problems associated with entering senior citizen status, one Japanese man did something that set a new record. He didn't age stop him.

At 102, he climbed to the summit of Japan's highest mountain, Mount Fuji.

Fox News reported:

A 102-year-old Japanese man has set a new record by becoming the oldest to summit Mount Fuji.

Kokichi Akuzawa began his ascent on Aug. 5 along with his 70-year-old daughter Motoe, his granddaughter and her husband and friends, according to The Associated Press.

Akuzawa told AP he's impressed that he climbed so well, sharing that it’s better to climb while he still can.

"I was really tempted to give up halfway through," he said. "Reaching the summit was tough, but my friends encouraged me, and it turned out well. I managed to get through it because so many people supported me."

Cracker Barrel's Peg Game Changed

Above, yours truly playing the peg game at the Gallup Cracker Barrel. Photo by Larry Lucier.

Along with remodeling their restaurant interiors into banal crap that looks more like a Denny's and the logo change, Cracker Barrel has also changed their classic table peg game.

Some have speculated that the game was changed so that some players won't be offended. I have a Cracker Barrel peg game and I found the wording to be funny in a silly way.

According to Fox News:

Cracker Barrel has altered the language on its classic table peg game amid the chain’s controversial rebrand, and, like its logo change, the move is not going over well with everyone.

The game that's on all the restaurant's tables previously poked good-natured fun at struggling players, where the goal is to remove all the pegs but one by jumping over them on the board: "Leave only one - you’re a genius. Leave two and you’re purty smart. Leave three and you’re just plain dumb. Leave four or mor’n you’re just plain eg-no-ra-moose."

Now, peg games say if you leave three or more, "Don't be embarassed [sic], try again!" The word was misspelled on a board photographed by Fox News Digital, with only one "r" in embarrassed.

"The peg game is still the same peg game our guests have known and loved for years, and some may look visually different now, but the rules and fun remain completely unchanged," a Cracker Barrel spokesperson told Country Living.

Above, the old peg game in my collection. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

I am wondering if Cracker Barrel's misspelling was E Clampus Vitus inspired. It is a Clamper tradition to have a misspelled word on their plaques.

Democrats, Newsom Hate Cracker Barrel Changes Too

"Politics makes strange bedfellows" it has been said.

Apparently, so does Cracker Barrel.

With the announced change in Cracker Barrel's logo and the remodeling of their restaurants to a brighter and bland decor, the Democrat Party and California Gov. Gavin Newsom weighed in.

They actually agree with the conservative detractors of the changes.

According to Fox News:

The Democratic Party and California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s press office's X accounts joined the backlash against Cracker Barrel after it released its new text-only logo earlier this week.

The company unveiled the new logo on Tuesday as part of its new branding campaign for the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store restaurants. The campaign eliminated the image of a man resting on a barrel in favor of a text-only logo for the first time since 1977.

While conservative critics have piled on the new redesign, both the Democratic Party and the liberal governor’s media team put out tweets Thursday calling out the Tennessee-based restaurant chain for the change.

Will wonders ever cease? It must mean that the changes are so bad that they, too, don't like them. Welcome aboard!

Obama and The Russian Collusion Scandal

It appears that former President Barack Obama was up to his ears with his involvement with the Russian collusion hoax that cost taxpayers a lot of money with the related "investigations".

Independence Day

Independence Day for me was a rather sedate one.

I could have gone into Gallup for a fireworks show, but elected to stay at home and watch Live Now from Fox News instead. They covered fireworks displays from around the country starting with Washington, D.C. and New York City and moved further west as the time went on.

As we are in a critical drought period, fireworks in McKinley County are prohibited.

Below is a photo of my television screen showing fireworks on the Mall with the Lincoln Memorial in the background.
