Mix of Rain and Snow

Spring is only four days away, but we are back in a winter storm pattern again.

Right now, we have light rain and winds. This will probably turn into snow showers later. 

But that's not all, for the next week, we will have a mix of rain and snow in Northwestern New Mexico.

Here's what the National Weather Service forecasts:

Today

Rain and snow showers likely before noon, then a chance of rain showers. Some thunder is also possible. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 44. West wind around 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Tonight

A 40 percent chance of snow showers, mainly after 3am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 25. West wind 10 to 15 mph becoming south 5 to 10 mph in the evening. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Friday

A chance of snow showers before noon, then a chance of rain and snow showers. Some thunder is also possible. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 40. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Friday Night

Partly cloudy, with a low around 23. North wind 5 to 10 mph becoming east after midnight.

A 30 percent chance of showers after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 43. East wind 5 to 10 mph.

A 30 percent chance of snow showers, mainly before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 28.
