Secret Service Acted Without Pay, Thanks To Democrats

Although the U.S. Secret Service did a great job in apprehending a shooter at the White House Correspondents Dinner at the Washington Hilton, they are doing so without pay.

This is thanks to the Democrats led by Chuck Schumer in refusing to find the Department of Homeland Security which oversees the Secret Service along with the TSA. 

According to Fox News:

A shooting near President Donald Trump and several Cabinet members Saturday night is putting a spotlight on the Secret Service’s funding shortfall amid an ongoing standoff in Congress.

A gunman opened fire outside the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner at the Washington Hilton in Washington, D.C., where celebrities, members of the press and administration officials had gathered, prompting a swift security response. The suspect is in custody and has not been identified. One Secret Service agent was reportedly shot in their protective vest but is uninjured.

The incident unfolded near a security screening area, prompting a rapid response from Secret Service agents and law enforcement.

The shooting comes amid a more than 60-day funding stalemate in Congress over the Department of Homeland Security — a lapse driven by Democrats blocking funding bills and rejecting multiple GOP-backed proposals to reopen the department.

The funding standoff centers on disputes over immigration enforcement policy and has raised concerns about resources for agencies including the Secret Service, FEMA and the U.S. Coast Guard.

The Secret Service, which is responsible for protecting the president, vice president, their families and other senior U.S. officials, along with visiting heads of state, has faced growing demands in recent years.

The incident adds to a growing list of threats against Trump, including two confirmed assassination attempts and a recent incident involving an armed intruder at Mar-a-Lago.

Delta Airlines Suspends Congress Special Treatment

Kudos to Delta Airlines!

Thanks to the Chuck Schumer/Democrat-led partial shutdown, the airline is suspending the special treatment accorded to members of Congress.

Reuters reported:

WASHINGTON, March 24 (Reuters) - Delta Air Lines said on Tuesday it would suspend special services for members of Congress, citing the impact ​of a partial government shutdown that has disrupted U.S. air travel.

"Due ‌to the impact on resources from the longstanding government shutdown, Delta will temporarily suspend specialty services to members of Congress flying Delta. Next to safety, Delta’s ​no. 1 priority is taking care of our people and ​customers, which has become increasingly difficult in the current environment,” ⁠the Atlanta-based U.S. air carrier said in a statement.

Other airlines should also follow suit and suspend perks accorded to members of Congress during the shutdown. They should have a big taste of their own medicine.

Albuquerque Sunport TSA "Normal"

A trip is planned for next month to go to Houston, Texas for the NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits. Mitch Geriminsky and I will be flying out of the Albuquerque Sunport.

How is Sunport faring during this Chuck Schumer-led Democrat partial shutdown?

KRQE News 13 reported:

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The ongoing partial government shutdown has resulted in longer-than-average wait times at airport security checkpoints operated by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) around the country. As a result, the federal government has deployed U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents to aid with security at some airports.

Despite the major travel shifts being seen at airports across the country, as of Monday, operations at the Albuquerque International Sunport remain unchanged.

“The Sunport has not experienced staffing shortages related to TSA, and checkpoint operations continue as normal,” said Albuquerque International Sunport Spokesperson Diana Lopez.

Getting back from Houston may be a different story if the shutdown has not ended by then.

The senate Democrats led by Chuck Schumer are hell-bent on committing political suicide with their refusal to fund the Department of Homeland Security, which left TSA workers without pay for over a month and snarling the nation's airports.

A friend and I are planning to go to Houston for the annual NRA Annual Meetings and Exhibits next month. Hopefully, the shutdown will be over by then. 

It is stupid for the Democrats to pull this stunt, especially during an election year. Voters will remember this when they cast their ballots in November.

TSA: No Shoes, No Problem

Thank goodness that the adults have regained control of the TSA.

We don't have to take off our shoes anymore at TSA airport checkpoints thanks to Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.

I received an email from the Daily Caller which read:

NO SHOES, NO PROBLEM

Great news, everyone. If you’re flying anywhere in the near future, you won’t have to take off your shoes in the security line. 

Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem confirmed Tuesday that TSA will no longer require passengers to put their shoes through the scanner. The shoe removal policy started in 2006 in response to a man who tried to detonate an explosive device he hid in his shoe while on a flight from Paris to Miami. The device failed. 

Since that busted bombing, millions of airline customers have been subjected to metatarsal tyranny. 

Audits in years past found that the TSA missed 70% of fake weapons that made their way through the security line, but we’re supposed to believe that slipping off a sandal is going to save us from terrorism. Although, to be fair, maybe the TSA had an unofficial shoe policy none of us knew about. Cowboy boots? Wave ‘em through. Adidas Sambas? Randomly selected! 

I usually have worn slip-on shoes (like deck shoes) on days that I would be flying somewhere.

RV Border Crossing Tips

Over the years, I have been to Mexico once and to Canada twice. Never have I been to either country in an RV. 

RV Life has posted an article with tips on crossing the border to each country. 

There apparently are special rules involving crossing the border in an RV. My late aunt and uncle used to drive their Class A motorhome down to San Felipe quite often. They never ran into any problems that I am aware of. They traveled there back in the 1970s and 1980s.

RV Life begins their article with:

RVing is a popular practice around the world, so many travelers want to take international trips. Lots of RVers dream of taking the long pilgrimage through Canada to Alaska, while others want to enjoy the sunny weather in Mexico. But there are rules you need to follow if a border crossing is part of your trip.

With the right preparation, you can absolutely drive an RV into another country. You just need to be prepared for additional security checks and a few restrictions. You’ll definitely need to plan ahead if you want to cross international borders because these are carefully guarded. Campgrounds and RV Parks Now "Essential" Businesses

During the early months of the pandemic, governors in different states, under their emergency powers, deemed some businesses "essential" and some not. 

In many of them, there was a firestorm from businesses not deemed essential and that included protests and lawsuits.

Originally, campgrounds and RV parks were not included as essential and forcing them to close. This caused people already on the road to be stranded with no places to stay.

Now, finally, campgrounds and RV parks will be considered essential in case of another pandemic or other emergencies.

According to RV Travel:

Something important to RVers happened in Washington, D.C., this week that will have a major impact the next time the country shuts down due to a pandemic or other emergency.

On Monday, the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), a division of the Department of Homeland Security, officially transitioned the RV park and campground classification in the Commercial Facilities Sector from Outdoor Events to Lodging and simultaneously classified all temporary lodging, including RV parks and campgrounds, as essential.

Alejandro Mayorkas, the loon that now runs the Department of Homeland Security has got to be the biggest idiot ever to occupy that office.

A whistleblower came forward and alleged DHS Chief Alejandro Mayorkas is threatening to terminate border patrol agents who don’t get the Covid vaccine by November.

So border patrol agents must be vaccinated, but the illegal aliens flooding over the border are not subjected to any vaccine or testing mandates.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said the Biden administration won’t build walls on the border despite a pickup in crossings.

“We have seen large numbers of individuals encountered at our border making a claim for asylum, for humanitarian relief,” Mayorkas said in an interview with “Fox News Sunday,” adding that it’s nothing new and spans several administrations. “It is the policy of this administration, we do not agree with a building of the wall.”

Biden Administration Creating "Radical American" Snitch Program

His Fraudulency wants to use Gestapo tactics of Nazi Germany in asking people to snitch on friends, family members or co-workers who may be "radicalized threats". 

What's their definition of "radicalized threats"?

President Joe Biden’s administration announced their plans to create ways for Americans to report radicalized friends and family to the government, in an effort to fight domestic terrorism.

In a conversation with reporters, one senior administration official explained the importance of stopping politically fueled violence before it started.

“We will work to improve public awareness of federal resources to address concerning or threatening behavior before violence occurs,” the official said.

The official cited the Department of Homeland Security’s “If you see something say something” campaign to help stop radical Islamic terror as a domestic possibility.

The Nazis of Germany did the same thing before and during World War II.

Every allegation, no matter how trivial, was investigated with meticulous and time-consuming thoroughness. What's next? Concentration camps?

This seems aimed at those who are opposed to the Biden regime. Notice that none of the left-wing rioters in various cities over the past year have been prosecuted.
