Way Out West Tent Meeting December 7

Above, a scene from "Big Business." The house the boys trashed is still there.

The Way Out West Tent of the Sons of the Desert sent along this message about their next meeting:

Join us the evening of Tuesday, December 7th.

11110 Victory Boulevard in North Hollywood
Doors open 6:30 PM - Meeting begins 7:15 PM
Admission $7/non-member - free for members

Our first film for the evening will put you in a holiday mood, as we follow Stan and Ollie's attempts to sell Christmas trees door to door in their classic silent film BIG BUSINESS (1929). We'll follow that with THEM THAR HILLS (1934), TIT FOR TAT (1935), COUNTY HOSPITAL (1932) and THICKER THAN WATER (1935).

There will be a raffle during the first break and free cake will be served during our second break. Fisher Frank Hot Dogs and assorted chips will be sold at the Mayflower Club Kitchen. Your choice of drinks will be sold at the Mayflower Club Bar.

For many years, members of the Way Out West Tent have donated canned goods to the Maude Booth Family Center of North Hollywood during the holidays. This year we again ask that you please bring one or more cans of food to our December meeting. We will also gladly accept a cash donation on their behalf. Even if you only donate one can of food, every little bit helps. Thank you for your continued generosity!
