The Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) sent their latest newsletter and they report that their U.S. website has been renewed.

They reported:

We have renewed our US website to offer easier access to more specific information and lots of new promotions. The new website will be also accessible via iPhone and iPad. Visit our new website today and discover what Japan has to offer.
I have made good use out of JNTO's services over the years.  Through their website, travelers can access information on Japan's attractions, lodging, restaurants and other services.  Plus, at no charge, upon request, JNTO will provide maps to any city or region, hotel guides, ryokan guides, onsen guides, brochures and tour package information.

They also have information centers throughout Japan.

To request maps and brochures, go to their "Contact Us" page.
