The timing for getting the ebook edition of The Monster Movie Fan's Guide To Japan set-up at Amazon's Kindle Store couldn't have been better.
Generally, people think about next year's vacations just before the holidays. I note that quite a number of vacation and travel shows are held in the autumn months.
Also, as we are coming down to the final 36 days before the elections, it is good timing that ads for the guide are showing up on websites such as the Drudge Report. During the past 24 hours, the Drudge Report (one of the biggest sources for news and election coverage on the Internet) tallied these numbers:
VISITS TO DRUDGE 9/30/12
025,315,865 PAST 24 HOURS
1,025,048,976 PAST 31 DAYS
10,424,610,091 PAST YEAR
The Amazon ad for the guide pops up on Drudge and other sites pretty frequently. The image at top of this blog post was from today at the Drudge Report.
The holidays should also be good. The hard copy edition is still available at ComiXpress.com. I have sold quite a number of them during the past two Christmases. They make good stocking-stuffers. This year, when people get new tablet computers for Christmas, they can get more fun and use out of them by getting the ebook edition. Since the holidays are just around the corner, this is something to consider for your favorite kaiju fan or for yourself.
The first royalty payment from Amazon will come at the end of this month. It'll be a good one.
