New Mexico: Your Lawmakers Need to Hear from You Now! |

New York billionaire Michael Bloomberg is pushing his radical gun control agenda in the New Mexico Legislature and your State Representative Eliseo Lee Alcon needs to hear from you as soon as possible!
The below bills could be voted on by the New Mexico House THIS WEEK! They include:
House Bill 8, so-called "universal” background check legislation sponsored by Representative Debra Sarinana (D-Bernalillo), would ban all private firearms sales between law-abiding individuals. Gun owners will be forced to pay undetermined fees to a licensed dealer and obtain government approval before selling firearms to family members, friends, neighbors and co-workers, or fellow hunters, competitive shooters and gun club members.
House Bill 83, extreme risk protection order or "red flag" legislation sponsored by Representative Daymon Ely (D-Bernalillo & Sandoval), would authorize the seizure of firearms and ammunition from individuals without due process.
House Bill 87, by Representative Deborah Armstrong (D-Bernalillo), would prohibit individuals who are convicted of certain misdemeanor offenses or who are subject to a domestic violence protective order from purchasing or possessing a firearm. Unlike federal law, this bill would require the surrender of firearms to law enforcement within 48 hours of a protective order being issued.
Contact your State Rep. Eliseo Lee Alcon at (505) 986-4415 and urge strong OPPOSITION to these misguided measures.
