NM McKinley County Now A "Second Amendment Sanctuary County"!

My home county, McKinley County, voted before an overflow crowd to become a "Second Amendment Sanctuary County". The "Prairie Fire" continues!

According to the New Mexico Shooting Sports Association:
Two-thirds of New Mexico Counties have declared themselves to be a "Sanctuary" for the Second-Amendment!

This is a big one as the City of Gallup is in the county. The Board of Commissioners made sure that Gallup remains "The Most Patriotic City In America".

I arrived at the McKinley County Courthouse at 8:30 and the Commissioners chambers was filled to capacity (50 persons), there were about another 50 just outside the chambers in an anteroom and about the same in the main lobby. So, about 150 Second Amendment supporters were in attendance. I remained in the lobby/anteroom during the time I was there.

Unfortunately, the people outside the meeting room were unable to hear the proceedings as the doors were closed and there are no speakers in the lobby or the anteroom. However, sheriff deputies passed around a sign-in sheet for everyone to sign and to indicate if they were for or against the resolution.

About 30 already signed before it got to me and all were for the resolution. Since it was fruitless to not be able to hear anything, I left. I headed off to Harbor Freight to pick up a camping chair that was on sale for $19.99.

A big thank-you to McKinley County!
