Now that we're in a new month (June already?!), it is time to take a look at how the U.S. dollar is faring against the Japanese yen in Tokyo's foreign exchange.
Currently, the rate is at 157.26 Japanese Yen per dollar.
This is despite Japan spending a record ¥9.8 trillion ($62.2 billion) in the past month to prop up the yen after it fell to a 34-year low (source: Japan Times).
This is a big reason why Americans are flocking to Japan as it makes travel there much more affordable.
