Trump Throws In The Towel But Doesn't Concede

Right after the congress certified Joe Biden's electoral win, President Trump threw in the towel on Twitter through an aide.

Bloomberg.com reported:

President Donald Trump, minutes after Congress certified President-elect Joe Biden’s Electoral College Victory and hours after Trump supporters broke into the Capitol, pledged “an orderly transition.”

“Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out, nevertheless there will be an orderly transition on January 20th,” Trump said in a statement posted on Twitter by his aide Dan Scavino early Thursday morning.

30 GOP House Members To Object To Electoral College Certification

This first month of 2021 will be quite interesting to watch.

Those who thought they could get away with voter and election fraud last November without a major fight, they are dead wrong.

According to Breitbart:

Nearly 30 Republicans from the United States House of Representatives have vowed to object to the certification of Electoral College votes in favor of Joe Biden on January 6.

On Wednesday, GOP Reps. Jeff Duncan of South Carolina and Randy Weber of Texas voiced their concerns and reasons for objecting to the certification, with Duncan saying in a statement that his oath to protect Americans “comes with the vital role of ensuring the legality of our free and fair election system.”

Reps. Clay Higgins (R-LA) and Joe Wilson (R-SC), along with Rep.-elect Diana Harshbarger (R-TN), announced that they would also object to the certification of the results on Thursday.

As of Thursday, 29 Republicans who serve, or will serve, in the House, along with lone Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO), have voiced support for President Donald Trump in objecting to the results. Those who plan to object include:

Rep. Brian Babin (R-TX), Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ), Rep.-elect Lauren Boebert (R-CO), Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL), Rep. I am reasonably certain we will be in civil war starting January 5th and 6th no matter which way it goes.  January at least, will be tumultuous.

I think we're already in a "cold civil war" and it's been that way for the past four years. It just may become a hot one. Those bastards from the Left asked for it.

Electoral College, A Protection Against Tyranny

We're now in a new year and the Democrats now have control over the U.S. House of Representatives.

Although we're in a new year, the Democrats haven't changed. They are loony as ever.

And now, the first Looney Left Report for 2019.

The Blaze reported:

On the House Democrats' first day in the majority, Rep. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn) introduced a constitutional amendment that would abolish Electoral College. 

"Americans expect and deserve the winner of the popular vote to win office," said Cohen. "More than a century ago, we amended our Constitution to provide for the direct election of U.S. Senators. It is past time to directly elect our President and Vice President."

This is a terrible idea. The Electoral College was devised by the founders as a protection for smaller states from the tyranny of bigger states in presidential elections.

Anyway, eliminating the electoral college is the road to tyranny — which is why Democrats and the media desperately want it eliminated. 

Trust me, the last place any free person wants to live is in a country where 51 percent of the population can strip the rights away from the 49 percent. 

Imagine a country where the only way to get elected president is to appeal to the left-wing extremists who live in large population centers, which is exactly what would happen. In fact this would be the only way to win the presidency because it would be the easiest — the cheapest as far as ad buys, getting out the vote, and that most precious commodity of all: time. Campaigns are going to go to where the most votes are. 

Because of the careful way it was set up, the electoral college helps to protect that most important right of all — the right of the minority. By “minority,” I don’t mean racial minority, but those states with minority populations. To cobble together the 270 electoral votes required to win the presidency, candidates are forced to appeal to a broad coalition of states, including states with small populations (Maine, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Nevada, Iowa, Nevada, etc.)

The Electoral College is what's preventing Commiefornia and New York from deciding on who is put into the White House. They were only reason Hillary Clinton received more votes than Donald Trump in 2016.

Electoral Votes Controlled By Moscow, Rep. Brad Sherman Says

Well, it's been a while since I last reported on any dumb statement or action by Rep. Brad Sherman, who just happens to be the congressman in my district. In fact, I supported Sherman over former Rep. Howard Berman a few years ago when reapportionment put the two into the same district.

But, sooner or later, Sherman was bound to say or do something stupid. And he has done so this week.

A Democratic congressman from California on Monday said President-Elect Donald Trump’s pro-Russian posture helped him win “Electoral College votes that are controlled in Moscow.” 

Rep. Brad Sherman’s statement came in response to a question by CNN anchor Carol Costello about alleged Russian interference in the U.S. election. She wanted to know if Sherman believed Trump himself was “in cahoots” with the Russians. He said probably not, but suggested that direct participation by Trump was irrelevant. 

"The fact is, in the campaign, Trump said things that would have hurt him — just a little bit — with American voters, but it helped him with the Electoral College votes that are controlled in Moscow," he said. "And Moscow returned the favor." 

Sherman backed off after Costello challenged him on that preposterous assertion. He conceded that Moscow does not, in fact, control Electoral College votes and acknowledged that there were dozens of other factors in Trump's surprise victory over Democrat Hillary Clinton.

Although Sherman tried to walk back his comments, he still made those remarks and they are now in the public record. Jeez.

Today, members of the Electoral College (Electors) are meeting in all state capitals to cast their votes for the next president of the United States.

According to Rush Limbaugh, Electors have been receiving death threats and other intimidating threats to get them to change their votes from leftist liberal Democrat  protesters and emails.

Limbaugh said,

 Today's headlines should read "Democrats Try To Steal Election By Threatening Electors". 

If newspapers don't, then they are useless as a legitimate news source.

Regardless, Donald Trump will be elected today.

Lunatic Democrats Call For Constitutional Convention

The Looney Left Report

The loon fringe (which is most of them) of the Democrat Party are calling for a constitutional convention to replace the Electoral College and to leave the union.

NTK Network reported:

On Tuesday, disgruntled Democrats held a forum to discuss the possibility of replacing the Electoral College. 

Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-CA) conceded that Democrats could not get rid of the Electoral College due to the way the United States Constitution is written. 

“I don’t think we can sustain our American democracy by having the majority ruled by the minority. And so the question is how to fix this since the Constitution is written in such a way that it’s almost impossible to amend,” Lofgren said.

The Constitution was written so that minority rights are protected against majority tyranny. Lofgren doesn't get that.

Clinton Recounts and Elector Death Threats

Not that I had any doubts before Election Day, but the Hillary Clinton campaign and its supporters have confirmed to me that they are a pack of bottom-feeding sleaze bags.

Two articles caught my attention.

First, as if any recount will ever overturn the election results, the Clinton campaign is joining in on recounts in three states.

According to Bloomberg.com:

Hillary Clinton’s campaign lawyer announced plans to participate in vote recounts of Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan if they take place, yet doesn’t expect to overturn the election of Donald Trump as president. 

If Green Party candidate Jill Stein initiates recounts in all of those states as she intends, the Clinton campaign “will participate in order to ensure the process proceeds in a manner that is fair to all sides,” lawyer Marc Elias said Saturday in a post on the blogging website Medium.com.

And then, another article is reporting that members of the Electoral College are receiving death threats from Clinton supporters.

WND.com reported:

One of Michigan’s 16 electors who will be called upon to cast a vote validating the election of Donald Trump in the Electoral College has testified on video that he and others in the state are receiving “dozens and dozens of death threats” from Hillary Clinton supporters urging them to switch their votes to Clinton. 

On Dec. 19 the Electoral College will convene to cast their votes for either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton, with each state’s electors pledged to vote for the candidate elected on Nov. 8 in their state. 

But more than a dozen states have no laws making it illegal for the electors to change their vote while others have only a minor penalty such as a fine for doing so. If Clinton’s supporters can get enough of the 163 electors from states where Trump both won and votes can be legally switched on Dec. 19, Hillary Clinton becomes the next president of the United States.

This confirms to me that the voters made the right choice on November 8.
