Thanks to all who made this happen!

Accordingly, I have updated the header.

Blog Hits 9 Million Views

It wasn't that long ago that the number of page views of this blog hit eight million. It was in August, to be exact.

Well, this ol' "hobby blog" has clocked over nine million page views. This has to be the second fastest in this blog's history.

Accordingly, I have updated the header:

Delaware Democrats For Composting Human Remains

The state that brought us Joe Biden is now considering a bill for the composting of human remains. That state being Delaware.

Some states already allow this practice (California being one of them).

From The Federalist blog:

A bill to allow composting of human bodies as an alternative to burial or cremation received overwhelming approval in the Delaware state House on Tuesday.

The measure passed the House on a 37-2 vote and now goes to the Senate. It authorizes a practice called “natural organic reduction,” often referred to as “human composting.”

Chief sponsor Rep. Sean Lynn, a Dover Democrat, called the practice a “gentle, respectful, environmentally friendly death care option.”

As the article mentions, maybe Soylent Green is next?

OVER FIVE MILLION PAGE VIEWS!

Armand's Rancho del Cielo (this here blog) has reached another milestone today.

The total number of blog page views has now passed the 5 million mark this morning. That is quite an achievement for this little "hobby blog" that was started in April 2008.

The name of the blog pays homage to President Ronald Reagan's beloved ranch in the mountains near Santa Barbara, California. The ranch is now owned and operated by the Young Americans Foundation (YAF).

The header, by Asya Lipovetckaia, has now been updated to reflect this milestone.

What About This Blog Is Drawing Amazon SG's Interest?

While checking the analytics for this blog, I found that there is an inordinate amount of page views originating out of Singapore. So far, over 15,000 have been detected this month.

They are basically from three locations and they are primarily from Amazon in Singapore. This has been going on since March.

I don't know what it is about this blog that is drawing Amazon Singapore's interest. They aren't causing any problems, even if they did, they cannot be blocked.

Weird.

Russia Is Watching

Above, the Kremlin in Moscow.

This little ol' blog has attracted attention from Moscow, Russia over the past 24 hours.

The analytics of this blog are showing that 18 page views originating from Moscow were made. I cannot tell what post or posts have attracted their attention, but I see that the majority of them originate from the same place.

I don't think it was Asya. She is either still in Montenegro or back in Copenhagen.

Well, whomever it is, they're welcome to look all they want. I've nothing to hide. But I do find it interesting.

Four MILLION Page Views Reached Today

Today marks a milestone for Armand's Rancho del Cielo (named as a salute to President Ronald Reagan's ranch in the mountains near Santa Barbara).

It has reached 4 million page views!  That's not too shabby for a hobby blog that was started in April 2008, fourteen years ago.

Accordingly, I changed the header reflecting the new total.

Horse Gentling At Wyoming's Diamond Cross Ranch

Above, a view of Jackson Hole from the Jackson Hole Tram. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

Ever since I can remember, I've always liked horses to a certain extent.

But it wasn't until I moved into "horse country" in New Mexico did I develop a deeper appreciation for them. The annual rodeo season will have me in the grandstands enjoying the shows.

I received an email from Boot Barn this morning and while it advertises their goods (western and work wear), it featured a story of a horse rescue in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

The ad has a link to Boot Barn's blog and I went there to check it out.

According to the blog:
Diamond Cross Ranch is a historical working ranch in Jackson Hole owned by the Golliher family, Horse Trainer Grant Golliher and Third Generation Rancher Jane Golliher. Jane’s grandparents were among the earliest settlers and homesteaders in Jackson Hole in 1912. As a family, they grew up caring for the land.

Over time, many ranching families departed the valley as property prices escalated and gave way to development. However, the family’s pioneering spirit and dedication to their Western heritage led them to conserve the open space as one of the few remaining historic family-owned ranches in Teton County.

In a day’s work, horse gentling—referred to as natural horsemanship—is among the many tasks that take place on their ranch.
We teamed up with Diamond Cross Ranch to rescue and gentle horse Jazzy from a kill pen. Grant has made it his life mission to rescue and gentle horses for the better good of others and it is an honor to watch his process with Jazzy.

They found Jazzy at a kill pen the day before she was scheduled to get on the truck to the slaughterhouse. So they had to make a decision quick. Grant has since been working with Jazzy to gentle her.

We're Shadow-Banned By Google

Shadow banning (also called stealth banning, ghost banning or comment ghosting) is the act of blocking or partially blocking a user or their content from an online community such that it will not be readily apparent to the user that they have been banned. - Wikipedia.

This morning, I was reading The Federalist blog on Google's ongoing censorship of this and other conservative websites.

Gary Julian, a longtime friend and owner of The Federalist blog, did some checking and found that Google is shadow-banning his blog.

He wrote:
With shadow banning it was all down hill from there. This last month we were down to 25,784 page views.
What the Fascists at Google do is bury Conservative websites so deep that no one will ever find them.
So I ran a Google search on one of my articles: "Blame the GOP for Immigration - not Trump."
I gave up looking after going five pages in. Using the exact title the article could not be found on Google.
(To read more, go here.)

After reading his post, I decided (this is the first time I checked, I might add) to do my own checking on my blog's status on whether it is being shadow-banned. Keep in mind, while I do post some political posts (and I am a conservative), my blog mainly focuses on travel, history and entertainment.

My searches on search engines Google and Bing found a similar scenario.

Yesterday, I posted an article, "Cuba Tourism Tanks 24%". I first checked Bing, and my article was listed in the second spot. And, what's more, I didn't type the post's title verbatim!

Next, I tried Google. And, I typed in the post's title verbatim. It was nowhere to be found, even four pages in!

So, like The Federalist blog, Google is shadow-banning Armand's Rancho Del Cielo.

UPDATE:

I just checked the Yahoo! search engine and we're in the sixth spot on the same search with them.

So, if one wants to do a search and have accurate results, use either Yahoo! or Bing, not Google.

Guest Article: Visa Joins In The Censoring of Conservatives

Originally posted at The Federalist blog.

Leftist Censorship
And the GOP is still SILENT

  • The mind boggles. The lunatic Communist Left is censoring Conservatives all over the nation and the so-called "Conservative" GOP sits around as usual with their thumbs up their asses pleasuring themselves.
  • I have contacted my Rat-Bastard GOP Congressman FOUR times about censorship without a reply.  I believe the Republicans don't give a shit because they view their own Conservative voters as the enemy.

The David Horowitz Freedom Center has had their donation processing system blocked by Visa and Mastercard allegedly following a campaign by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

The David Horowitz Freedom Center stated in a recent email that its ability to accept donations by credit card has been disabled by both Visa and Mastercard following a campaign by the SPLC to label the Freedom Center as a hate group. This situation comes shortly after Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch was forced off the funding platform Patreon following pressure from Mastercard.

The Freedom Center is the next target of the SPLC, and they are using Mastercard and Visa again in their attempt to shut down conservative voices. In an email sent to supporters, Horowitz outlined how the SPLC had convinced Mastercard and Visa to block the Freedom Center from receiving payments and donations via credit card. In the email, Horowitz requested that supporters send donations via check to a P.O. Box.
In the email to supporters, the Freedom Center lashed out at the move by Mastercard and Visa, saying: “this blow could be the end of the Freedom Center. Decades of work, down the drain because the hateful Left wants to squash free speech and silence an organization that dares to question them.
Breitbart News reached out to David Horowitz who provided the following comment:
We have been attacked by the left wing hate machine whose goal is to suppress and silence conservative voices. This is the work of a Soros funded Media Matters and Southern Poverty Law Center operation. It’s cynical, calculated and supported by the Democratic Party. The reason Mastercard and Visa gave us for cutting us off and thus sabotaging our online fund-raising operation is that the SPLC told them that we were a hate group. It is wrong to focus on the Tech heads as the culprits because as businessmen they have a vested interest in keeping their platforms politically neutral. They have been threatened by Senator Mark Warner and other Democrats if they don’t censor conservatives. The fact that Mastercard and Visa are now part of this juggernaut indicates how dangerous this has become.
Breitbart News reached out to both Visa and Mastercard for comment on the issue but has yet to receive a reply.
