What A Liar!

Recently, Mark Zuckerberg said the following:

Zuckerberg: "We're going to get rid of fact-checkers and replace them with community notes, similar to X."

Well, he speaks with a lying forked tongue. This morning, I posted an email from Zac Fort of the New Mexico Shooting Sports Association at the Facebook Page, Patriots Unite. It was approved by the page's administrator. It was about upcoming gun control legislation at Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Then, I get a notice that it was removed as it supposedly "violated" Facebook Community Standards on spam.

Immediately, I filed a protest on this. 

It also has been shared at X. No problems have arisen there on the posting. 

When it comes to Facebook and Zuckerberg, as I said before, "I have to see it to believe it!"

Facebook Is Still At It

Facebook is still (not that they ever quit) out censoring/removing posts.

I posted my latest blog post on lever guns and they removed it as they claim it violates their community standards on spam. Of course, I requested a review.

Zuckerberg Admits To Being Part of Censorship Scheme

This is one of those things where I can easily say, "I'm not at all surprised." 

A "little late and with phony contrition," Zuckerberg admits that Facebook was a part of the Biden-Harris censorship scheme. This was after Rep. Jim Jordan's House Judiciary Committee forced Zuckerberg to release documents.

Fox News Opinion (Jonathan Turley) wrote this:

"I believe the government pressure was wrong, and I regret that we were not more outspoken about it." Those words from Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg came this week with an admission in a letter that his company, Facebook, did yield to pressure from the Biden-Harris administration to censor American citizens on a wide array of subjects.

For those of us who have criticized Facebook for years for its role in the massive censorship system, Zuckerberg's belated contrition was more insulting than inspiring. It had all of the genuine regret as a stalker found hiding under the bed of a victim.

Zuckerberg's sudden regret only came after his company fought for years to conceal the evidence of its work with the government to censor opposing views. Zuckerberg was finally compelled to release the documents by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, and the House Judiciary Committee.

"Bride of Frankenstein" Christian Imagery

For Easter Sunday, I though I would post a little something from a movie we all cherish.

A few weeks ago, I watched Bride of Frankenstein (1935). While doing so I paid more attention to the Christian imagery that the film contained.

Until recent years, Henry Frankenstein's creation scene declaration, "In the name of God, now I know what it's like to be God!" in Frankenstein (1931) was censored out. It was finally restored. That was basically the only objectionable religious item in the movie. The drowning of Maria was also censored until recent years, but now restored as well. But Bride of Frankenstein went much further.

Joseph Breen, administrator of the Production Code objected to some images in the movie and had Whale re-shoot scenes or just had some eliminated. Director James Whale, however, was a clever man and was able to sneak some images in. 

Above, the censored graveyard crucifix scene that was changed to toppling a statue of a bishop.

In an article by Jan A. Henderson and George E. Turner, the images (and references in the dialog) were discussed as follows:

Whale retained most of the religious imagery that had worried Breen. The captured Monster, raised aloft on a pole and pelted by rocks, obviously symbolizes crucifixion. Additionally, a crucifix in the hermit's cabin is heavily emphasized; the Monster angrily topples a statue of a bishop; and Pretorius impiously quotes Biblical phrases ("Male and female created He them. Be fruitful and multiply."). Elizabeth tells Henry that his thoughts are "blasphemous and wicked." While these touches are much commented upon by historians, no one has explained why Pretorius dons a yarmulke before unveiling his miniature creatures.

There was very little humor in the original 1931 Frankenstein, but there was plenty of dark humor in Bride of Frankenstein. Whale initially did not want to direct a sequel, but was persuaded to direct it as he was given free reign. The result was a rare sequel that many consider to be superior to the original.

WTF?

Well, here's a first for me.

Earlier this morning, I posted a blog article on "What Ammo Shortage?" on Facebook an hour or so ago. It was about how I haven't found any evidence of ammunition shortage in the Gallup area. It just discussed the availability of ammunition. I wasn't selling anything. The shop I referenced was unnamed and no prices were posted.

Then, about an hour ago, Facebook Nazis removed the post saying that goes against "Community Standards" on "government restricted or banned" items. Since when has the "government" banned items on social media that are protected under the Second Amendment? 

I have requested a review of the removal. I have noticed that some Winchester rifles and shotgun pages are having some posts removed as well lately. Administrators at those pages are also requesting reviews.

Crazy, just crazy!

Facebook refused to restore the post, so I appealed to the Oversight Board for a review.

Kennedy's Opening Statement At Yesterday's Hearing

 The following email was received today from the Kennedy campaign:

Dear Armand, Yesterday, I testified at a Congressional committee about censorship and the weaponization of federal agencies. Here is my video comment on the hearing.  Many of the committee members treated me fairly and with dignity. Others – members of my own party – descended into baseless smears and insults. These tactics are precisely how censorship works. An individual is associated with something loathsome — anti-Semitism, racism, extremism, etc. Having been deemed untouchable, they are targeted for deplatforming.  Ranking Democratic committee member Debbie Wasserman Schultz attempted this right off the bat, motioning to move my testimony to a closed-door, secret “executive session” so the American public would not have a chance to hear me. Her argument, basically, was that my views are so hateful and disgusting that to entertain them in public is tantamount to inciting violence.  Of course, this was all grandstanding. I doubt any committee member actually believes I am as diabolical as they tried to paint me. This kind of tactic, though, is tearing our nation apart. The question is, “Will these tactics work?” And the answer is, “That is up to the public.” And especially, it is up to you.  The tactics work when people shy away from the smear target. They backfire when people are so fed up with the divisiveness and incivility that they redouble their support.

RFK Jr. Defends Self Against Democrat Attacks At Hearing

It was astonishing seeing Democrats on the House subcommittee on weaponization of federal agencies hearing on censorship rake Robert F. Kennedy Jr. over the coals yesterday.

Kennedy was accused of making anti-Semitic and racist statements (in relation to COVID virus). Kennedy, a Democrat himself, was treated as if he were Donald Trump or some other Republican. 

Kennedy, at least, fought back against the attacks. 

It was ironic that a hearing on censorship began with Democrats trying to censor him by moving to disinvite him from testifying before the hearing started.

House Democrats attacked Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the chief party rival to President Biden in the 2024 race, Thursday by accusing him of trading in antisemitic tropes and spurring doubts about vaccines within the Black community even though he vaccinated his own children.

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Florida Democrat, moved to shut down Mr. Kennedy’s testimony at a House Judiciary Committee hearing in which GOP lawmakers invited the presidential candidate and others to testify on censorship by Big Tech and government officials.

“Mr. Kennedy has repeatedly made antisemitic and anti-Asian comments as recently as last week,” Mr. Schultz said, referring to when Mr. Kennedy suggested the coronavirus might have been targeted at White and Black people while sparing Ashkenazi Jews and Chinese people.

"Mr. Schultz"? LOL!

Still, it was a mind-blowing spectacle. Who'd have thought a Kennedy would be subjected to vicious attacks by fellow Democrats? I made myself a bowl of popcorn and watched the whole hearing.

Kennedy To Testify On Censorship and Weaponization

Yesterday, I received an interesting email from the Robert F. Kennedy Jr. presidential campaign. He is to testify before a House subcommittee this morning on censorship and weaponization of the federal government.

His testimony should prove to be interesting.

Here's the email:

We’re excited to announce that tomorrow morning, July 20th at 9 a.m. Eastern Time, Mr. Kennedy will testify at a House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government about the federal government’s disturbing role in censoring American citizens.

Mr. Kennedy’s testimony will contribute to the pushback against the rampant collusion between government agencies and tech platforms to censor speech that does not align with the interests of the Washington establishment.

“Recent revelations in the Twitter Files and Missouri v. Biden show how deeply institutionalized government censorship has become. “It is dressed up in euphemisms like, ‘working with our partners in tech,’ but make no mistake, this is a systematic program to control what Americans can say and think. As such, it is antithetical to democracy. In a democracy, the people tell the government what to think, not the other way around.”

Yesterday, 102 Democrats signed a letter asking that Mr. Kennedy be disinvited from the hearing. Quite ironic to censor someone testifying at a hearing on censorship. The hearing might make interesting viewing! You can watch the livestream here.

Gang of Biden Staffers Who Stifled Speech On Social Media

The censorship of social media posts at Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and other sites by the Biden Administration is no surprise to those of us who had been censored and shadow-banned.

But a recent lawsuit against the Biden Administration led a federal judge to "out" the Biden staffers who conducted violations of the First Amendment in the U.S. Constitution.

The Washington Times reported (some snippets):

A federal judge who excoriated the Biden administration for pressuring social media platforms to censor Americans’ speech shined a light on a group of obscure but powerful White House staffers who leaned on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and other sites to remove posts and ban users whose content they opposed.

U.S. District Judge Terry A. Doughty, acting on a lawsuit filed against the Biden administration by two states and a group of plaintiffs, said the case “arguably involves the most massive attack against free speech in United States’ history.”

Court documents show that while top Biden administration officials such as Dr. Anthony Fauci sought publicly and privately to censor social media posts over COVID-19 content, the task was more extensively carried out behind the scenes by a select band of staffers. 

The effort began almost as soon as Mr. Biden entered the White House with a Jan. 23, 2021, email from Clarke Humphrey, then the digital director for the administration‘s COVID-19 response team.

Mr. Humphrey emailed Twitter officials at 1 a.m. on Mr. Biden’s third day in office and asked them to remove a tweet posted a day earlier by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. that suggested, without evidence, that the death of Hank Aaron, 86, could be tied to the coronavirus vaccine. 

The job of policing social media appeared to fall mostly to Mr. Humphrey’s White House colleague, Rob Flaherty, who recently left the administration, reportedly to take a job in President Biden’s reelection campaign.

While Mr. Flaherty strong-armed Twitter and Facebook to cooperate with the White House, another staffer, Andy Slavitt, ramped up the effort by threatening the social media platforms with federal action. 

Carol Crawford, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s digital media director, also helped carry out the White House‘s censorship scheme.

Ex-CIA Agent Promoted to Meta/Facebook’s “Head of Election Policies”

If you thought that Mark Zuckerberg and company at Facebook/Meta will treat conservatives fairly in 2024 the elections, you'd best put that silly notion out of your head.

Zuckerberg and company has promoted an ex-CIA goon to "Head of Elections Policies". In other words, he will be in charge of censorship at Facebook.

As the Big-Tech censorship apparatus in social media continues to roll on at full steam ahead of the 2024 Election, a former 17-year veteran of the CIA, Aaron Berman, has reportedly been promoted to the “Head of Elections Policies” for Meta/Facebook.  Berman was a “Senior Analytic Manager (and various positions)” for the CIA from March 2002 thru July 2019.

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, infamously donated $440 million to the CTCL and other non-profits, including ERIC-founder David Becker’s CEIR to help “supplement” elections during COVID.  This money disproportionately went to Democrat strongholds, especially in the key swing states.

Facebook/Meta was also one of the social media platforms mentioned by the “Election Integrity Partnership” (EIP) and Stanford Internet Observatory in a report, which promoted the censoring of hundreds of thousands of posts and conservative voices from discussing events that occurred around the highly-suspect 2020 Election.  The report published by the EIP, titled “The Long Fuse”, laid out, among other things, how the government and election officials could use the EI-ISAC as a “singular conduit” for reporting ‘misinformation’ to social media platforms in an attempt to subvert the First Amendment protections of US citizens against government censorship.

Ironically, as mentioned in the article below from The Gateway Pundit, the EI-ISAC, a subsidiary of the Center for Internet Security (CIS), was also engaged in “securing” elections at the county level through the Dept. of Homeland Security.  DHS offered free security services to county election jurisdictions, many of which accepted the offer.

The release of the Twitter Files revealed a plethora of former government bureaucrats, many of them former intel agency employees, that transitioned to leadership roles within the social media companies and were often responsible for the censoring of the respective platform’s users.  In continuing with that trend, Berman, who was previously the “senior product policy manager for misinformation” at Meta, has reportedly been promoted to the “Head of Elections Policies.”

James Bond 007 has succumbed to the woke mob, or at least the owner of the literary rights to Ian Fleming's novels has.

Of all the idiotic things in recent years, this one really takes the cake. Ian Fleming's original James Bond novels are being censored (this is what's really going on) so that people won't get offended by racial, sexist and other "politically incorrect" terms and attitudes.

Summit News reported on a story in The Telegraph that the James Bond novels of Ian Fleming are to be edited by "sensitivity readers".

They wrote, in part:

And then the woke mob came for Bond.

According to a report in The Telegraph, “sensitivity readers” are being employed to scour the original James Bond books to look for and remove any ‘outdated’ content including ‘racist’ comments.

The latest publications of the books, written by Ian Fleming, will also reportedly contain a trigger warning notifying readers that they may find some of the storylines hurt their feelings.

The warning will read “This book was written at a time when terms and attitudes which might be considered offensive by modern readers were commonplace.” 

The editing of the books is to coincide with the 70th anniversary of the first ever Bond book Casino Royale.

What exactly is ‘offensive’ is yet to be determined, but presumably it could extend to the fact that Bond is a straight white man who likes to fratenize with multiple women at any one time, drinks heavily and doesn’t have a single simp cell in his body.

The report notes that ‘sexual descriptors’ have been edited or altogether removed, including one scene in Live and Let Die where a group of men watching a stripper are described being “like pigs at the trough”.

At this rate, they will have to completely rename Octopussy.

James Bond novels have been rewritten to remove a number of racial references from Ian Fleming’s work, The Telegraph can reveal.

All of the author’s thrillers featuring 007 are set to be reissued in April to mark 70 years since Casino Royale, the first book in the series, was published.

Ian Fleming Publications Ltd, the company that owns the literary rights to the author’s work, commissioned a review by sensitivity readers of the classic texts under its control.

The Telegraph understands that a disclaimer accompanying the reissued texts will read: “This book was written at a time when terms and attitudes which might be considered offensive by modern readers were commonplace.

“A number of updates have been made in this edition, while keeping as close as possible to the original text and the period in which it is set.”

The changes to Fleming’s books result in some depictions of black people being reworked or removed.

Dated references to other ethnicities remain, such as Bond’s racial terms for east Asian people and the spy’s disparaging views of Oddjob, Goldfinger’s Korean henchman.

References to the “sweet tang of rape”, “blithering women” failing to do a “man’s work”, and homosexuality being a “stubborn disability” also remain.

This is just plain sheer stupidity. What's wrong with, "Don't like it, don't read it"?

House GOP Wastes No Time To Hold Ousted Twitter Execs Accountable

Three Twitter former executives will be held accountable for suppressing and censoring the Hunter Biden laptop story during the later part of the 2020 election by a House oversight committee.

The Western Journal reported:

The earliest days of the Republican-controlled House are already showing results.

The three former Twitter executives responsible for censoring the Hunter Biden laptop story — a story that could well have turned the 2020 election — have gotten a formal invitation from the chairman of the House Oversight Committee to explain their decision to the American people.

The answers are going to shape the rest of the Joe Biden presidency — and the nation’s view of the FBI.

In letters released Wednesday, Kentucky Rep. James Comer wrote Vijaya Gadde, Twitter’s former head of legal policy; Yoel Roth, the social media giant’s former head of “trust and safety”; and James Baker, Twitter’s former general counsel, notifying them that their attendance is required on Capitol Hill “the week of Feb. 6.”

They have until Jan. 18 to reply. As National Review noted, if they don’t wish to appear voluntarily, the committee can take steps to compel it.

All three have left the company since mega-billionaire Elon Musk purchased it. Gadde and Baker were fired.

Roth resigned, explaining in an interview with journalist Kara Swisher that he’d concluded that Twitter under Musk’s leadership would be a never ending series of disasters.

Twitter Files: It Just Gets Dirtier With Government "Secret Portal"

Thanks to Elon Musk, we now know that the government had a secret portal in Twitter to censor free speech by reporting anything they felt was "misinformation."

Twitter Files 4 has been released.

The Gateway Pundit reported:

More damning evidence of collusion between the CDC and social media companies to stifle free speech and censor the public was revealed in the fourth batch of explosive documents obtained from litigation against the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released by the nonprofit organization America First Legal (AFL).

Twitter allowed government officials and other “stakeholders” to use a secret portal called, “Partner Support Portal” to report anything they believed to be “misinformation.”

Previously, back in July 2021, TGP reported on Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai and his investigation, where he uncovered Twitter’s “partner support portal.”

Dr. Shiva discovered that Twitter built a special portal offered to certain governmental entities so that government officials can flag and delete content they dislike for any reason, as part of what they call their “Twitter Partner Status.”

Now there is more evidence to back up this theory.

According to documents obtained by AFL, one government employee was enrolled in this Portal through their personal Twitter account.

Other publicly available documents indicated that Facebook had adopted a similar strategy for censoring content concerning rigged elections.

According to AFL, “This production also reveals that the U.S. government was actively working to “socially inoculate”–or brainwashing–the public against anything that threatened its narrative. It did so by using aligned Big Tech corporations to monitor and manipulate users for the purposes of censoring unapproved information and pushing government propaganda. For example, Facebook sent written materials to the CDC in which it bragged about censoring more than sixteen million “pieces of content” containing opinions or information the U.S. government wanted suppressed.”

Funny how the drive-by media has avoided the Twitter Files story.

‘Twitter Files II’ Exposes Blacklists, Shadow Banning, Targeted Censorship

A few years ago, I noticed a drop-off of views of this blog on Twitter and Facebook. I also noticed that when trying to Google this blog, the number of results also were low. It was obviously being shadow-banned. 

Gary Julian, who runs The Federalist blog, also noticed his blog was being shadow-banned. His blog was also blocked by Facebook.

The Twitter Files II has exposed blacklisting and other means of blocking conservative posts.

(Mark Pellin, Headline USA) A second explosive release of Twitter files that dropped Thursday exposed a concentrated campaign by avowed leftists at the social media titan to censor conservatives and suppress opinions contrary to the regime-approved narrative.

“A new #TwitterFiles investigation reveals that teams of Twitter employees build blacklists, prevent disfavored tweets from trending, and actively limit the visibility of entire accounts or even trending topics—all in secret, without informing users,” reported independent journalist Bari Weiss, who released a Twitter thread with the new information.

The egregious censorship was carried out by Twitter executives at the highest levels, who have all been fired from the company since Elon Musk became its Chief Twit. So-called “Trends Blacklist” that were created for suppression and censorship included a wide range of notables, including respected medical experts, politicians and conservative media personalities and outlets.

If there is a class-action lawsuit filed by James Woods or whomever, I will likely sign on to it.

Hunter Biden Laptop Censorship and Suppression Files Released By Musk

Those of us with at least half a brain were well aware that Twitter censored and suppressed the New York Post story on Hunter Biden's laptop.

They invented the cover story excuse that the story was either Russian misinformation or hacked material. It was totally bogus.

Thanks to Twitter's new owner, Elon Musk, we now see what we knew was actually true.

Twitter “just freelanced” its baseless decision to censor The Post’s bombshell Hunter Biden laptop scoop in the run up to the 2020 election — with top-level workers at the social media giant agreeing that controversial decision was “f–ked,” damning insider communications released by CEO Elon Musk Friday reveal. 

The chaos and confusion behind closed doors at Twitter in the immediate aftermath of the October 2020 Hunter Biden expose show that a small group of top-level execs decided to label the Post’s story as “hacked material” without any evidence — behind the back of then-CEO and founder Jack Dorsey. 

Musk tweeted a link to the account of independent journalist Matt Taibbi shortly after 6 p.m., who shed light on Twitter’s shady censorship decision by posting what appeared to be redacted emails between Twitter employees.

"Camping" A New Code Word For Abortion

The lunacy of the far Left knows no bounds.

The Democrats in New York are introducing legislation to try to circumvent the recent Supreme Court ruling on constitutional carry of guns. 

Now, our favorite mode of vacationing, camping, is being used as a code word for abortion! Do you think that's crazy? Well, it is. But it isn't the first time an innocent word was perverted to mean something else. The word "gay" is a perfect example. 

Now the word "camping" the victim.

According to RV Travel:

RVers and all camping enthusiasts may think their favorite pastime is far removed from the country’s heated debate over abortion access, but that isn’t necessarily so.

Online social media posts offering to take people “camping” have suddenly become coded language for those supposedly offering aid to pregnant women seeking abortions who may live in states that ban the procedure. The posts include offers of transportation or out-of-state housing.

You might wonder how in the world a seemingly innocuous word like camping now finds itself being bandied about the internet by those in the forefront of the contentious abortion debate. It seems using a “code word” like camping instead of the word abortion is an effort to avoid algorithmic censorship on social media, and even potential detection by law enforcement agencies.

It all sounds so silly until you consider the potential fallout from abortion rights advocates using “camping” as a code word to avoid detection.
