Ex-Alice In Chains Bassist Mike Starr Found Dead

The rock world has lost another musician.

Reuters is reporting:

(Reuters) - Former Alice in Chains bass player Mike Starr, who went public with his drug problems on the reality TV show "Celebrity Rehab," was found dead in a Salt Lake City house, police said on Tuesday, nine years after the rock band's singer died of an overdose. Starr was 44.

I was alerted to Starr's death from a Twitter post by singer Michelle Branch, who said, "R.I.P. Mike Starr. Such a bummer. Don't do drugs kids!"

The cause of death has not been determined and toxicology tests will probably take about 2 weeks.
