"That clown just stole all of our cash!"

Today, I was watching the Adventures of Superman episode from 1953, "The Clown Who Cried" where an imposter "Rollo The Clown" robs a telethon (that the Daily Planet was putting on) of its cash receipts.

After the crook flees, Clark Kent (George Reeves) calls Inspector Henderson (Bob Shayne) and says, "That clown just stole all of our cash! He's armed and he's dangerous! Better send out an alarm!"

For some reason, that line made me think of another clown:



I guess it's because all of our cash was "stolen" through the stimulous/porkulous bills.
